Videography - Need to Have or Nice to Have?

Not necessary, pics are enough for me

Need to have! I love looking back at photos, so having a video will be even more special

It became need to have for us. We have a lot of family overseas that sadly, can't make it. I would love for them see the wedding so this is the next best option.

Nice to have, you can remember with pictures, but with the extra room in a budget a video is a GREAT option!

Somehow BOTH ! It is quite an expense and there i something to be said about the moment being less genuine if you know you are being filmed. However, it is a wonderful memory. For that reason, i am having only the ceremony being filmed. All eyes will be on me anyway so it won’t make much difference experience-wise. Everything else will be capture via photos

Nice to have. My FH does a lot of filmwork and editing, so he has a LOT of ideas for this and is probably getting more excitement out of him than any other part of the wedding! So I'm very excited for it. We were lucky that we have a connection to someone who does it professionally that willing to give us one heck of a deal! Wedding videos get expensive, but they hold a full moment in time that a snapshot just can't. I'm not going to die if I don't get a good video, but I know he'll be happy to play with it and it'll be a nice thing to show our future kids

The whole time I was planning, I would say just nice to have. We had someone video our wedding, and I am so excited to see it! So now I would say it's a need.

Nice to have, but we are doing it. Our videographer did our engagement pictures, so I trust her vision. It may also be a little morbid, but I've lost many family members over the years and I want something I can look back on; more than just pictures. There's a lot about that day that I'm going to miss because of how fast everything goes by, too.
