The decor for tent weddings is endless. If you can click on my picture, it will take you to a gallery that will have 4 or so tent photos. The magic is in the lighting transformation from the top of the event to the end of the evening. If you would like more ideas and details please don't hesitate to contact me.

We are having a tent wedding Smiley smile Colours are green (various shades) and accents of black and silver. For the decorations I got loads of chinese lanterns and the lights to hang in them. Linens and chairs will be white and the table decorations are a jar of key limes, a floral vase in the same flowers as my bouquet (white roses, green and white fuji mums and kermit mums) a jar of black white and silver glass pebbles, green tea lights with silver charms on the table with "love" and "laugh" on them. The tent will have rope light all round it. I'm hoping and praying it turns out like it seems in my head!!

The good things about tent weddings is the possibilities are endless. The bad thing about tent weddings is they can be much more expensive in the long run.

In our city, it wasn't worth it. We chose a venue that had many decorative elements already.

Just make sure you incorporate lighting (candles probably won't be allowed), and air circulation. The company you rent the tent from should have a booklet of ideas and additional items they offer that will help you find what you want to do for your event.

I had a tent wedding last month. We kept decorations fairly simple so as not to take away from the view of the pond and our garden theme. Our tablescapes and origami cranes were the perfect touch.

Also our wedding was during the day so no need for extra lighting. Here are a couple of pics

I'm having a tent wedding. I am making a ceiling fabric drape and I'm using tissue paper pom-poms and lanterns to create "chandeliers" in the peaks. Lots of twinkle lights as well.

    Some things to consider:

    1. heat and a/c. Depending on where you are and time of year could be required.

    2. Absolutely get a floor. Walking in heels on grass sucks so your guests will appreciate it.

    3. If the tent is permanent, does it have a liner? If it's temporary, you may be able to add that, which will give a more formal look.

    4. Lighting can be a big boost, but it depends on the type of tent. If it's a frame or clear span you may have ceiling height issues. If it's a pole tent it'll likely have a higher ceiling.

    5. Paper lanterns or other hanging decor could be cool.

I'm looking at venues that provide a tent on site. I love the idea of a tent for the reception!

Be sure to get some AC into that tent if its gonna be hot. You don't want to sweat all over that dress of yours. http://onsiteheat.com/products/portable-cooling/spot-cooler-air-conditioner/
