Jeff and I met shortly after he moved from Edmonton to Trail. We were both still living with our parents and he was looking to meet some people his age in the area.  He had posted a profile on an online social media website and when I read his profile I was intrigued. He seemed like the kind of person who would fit in well with my small, close-knit group of friends. In the beginning, he was to be a new member of our "games night group," but shortly after meeting, I realized that there was something very special about this man.  He came to one or two games nights, then – when I invited him to come Christmas caroling, I was VERY surprised when he said yes!  We both froze our feet off while caroling and it only took one of his famous back massages to get me hooked.   We’re engaged! Fast forward two and half years - Jeff and I buy our first house together. We love the house almost as much as we love each other.  On April 19, 2012 he popped the question while giving me a birthday massage (the very same way he won my heart to begin with.)  I was shocked that I hadn’t seen it coming.  For one, marriage had been on our minds for quite a while – we had even showed each other rings that we liked. Secondly, anyone who knows Jeff knows that he isn’t great at keeping surprises a secret.  He usually tries to give me my Christmas present early.  The next day I called my parents to tell them the great news. Now comes the planning! Looking at all the time we have spent together, I can’t believe how lucky I am to be marrying the man of my dreams.  He is truly my best friend, and I can’t wait for the many years of happiness to come.
