Price Per Plate??

How much is your food for the reception per plate? We are having a buffet style with 4 entree options. Chicken, beef, fish, and vegetarian. It comes out to $19.95 a plate. I was just curious if that is a decent price or not.

I still cant believe how much some places are. Its crazy!! Lol. I am having a buffet and for food, pkates, napkins, bowls, silverware I estimate $600 for 120 people so $5.00 per person for food. And for drinks I estimate about $30 for 120 and thats roughly $2.50 so I say about $7.50 per person. Could be a little more could be a little less depending on the guest count. But I still havent mailed my invites so I wont have a final cost till end of sept roughly

Ours is about $17pp, but doesn't include tables, linens, etc. It's a very simple lasagna, salad, veggies, bread buffet with coffee service. We'll have caprese skewers and stuffed mushrooms for the cocktail hour as well as a table with local cheeses. No dessert and no bar included in this price. My girlfriends are doing the desserts and we've hired a bartender for the beer and wine we will be purchasing.

$27 for buffet with 4 entrees including prime rib carving station, cocktail hour apps and late night snack. One of the benefits living in Ohio, everything is cheaper.

ETA: Open bar is 8$ pp..if we upgrade to top shelf I think its like $10-$12 pp

I am floored at how inexpensive it is to get married outside of the NY tri-state area!!!

After tax and gratuity, we're paying $167.10 per head, and are bending over backwards because that was an amazing deal for our area!
