Wedding details
Evan and I met in the summer of 2011 and steadily progressed into a strong relationship. We immediately bonded over a love of movies, sports and tacos. We moved in together in December of 2012 and decided it was too boring with just the two of us so we adopted Alfie from a shelter in Philadelphia. As silly as it sounds, getting a dog together solidified our relationship. It taught us that we were capable of not just caring about each other but that we could handle the responsibility of caring for something together. Evan completely surprised me with his proposal. One week before we were together in Baltimore and I somewhat thought he may propose while we were there. Instead, Evan asked me over dinner how "ring shopping works" and therefore I was completely thrown off any ideas of a proposal happening. The following weekend my brother and his family were in town and so was Evan's mom from Texas. We had the whole weekend mapped out so that we would be able to spend time with both of our families. On Saturday night, Evan and I had plans to go to my parents house for dinner. We drove over with our dog and I hopped out of the car with him and headed to the door. Evan put his arm around me and pulled me in for a kiss. He then told me that he loved me and got down on one knee (all while our beloved dog pulled to get into his second favorite place on earth) and asked me if I wanted to be a family together forever. His hands were shaking as he pulled the ring out of his pocket and I had no words come out of my mouth. Instead I shook my head yes and wrapped my arms around him. Then we walked inside to loud "CONGRATS" and Evan had both of our families all gathered together to celebrate. It was very overwhelming but also incredible. After hugging everyone, Evan slipped me back outside and we had a moment together where I actually audibly told him yes and we let everything set in. After that, we were ready to head back inside to celebrate our engagement with a night that I will never forget.

2715 days agoHello ladies! I plan on asking my bridesmaids to be in my wedding with a personalized hanger as a gift, similar to the one in the picture. I'm torn between what I should put on the hanger: each of their names or their titles ie BM/MOH. Suggestions?...

2715 days agoI don't have my ears pierced. I let them close up with I was younger (I was allergic to the metal and they got very infected). Any ideas for clip on earrings? Is it a bad idea? I feel like I will need SOMETHING to go with the dress. Thoughts?

2715 days agoHas anyone done this? If so, please share pics and your experience! I'm planning to do one with my dad because he's the biggest crier on the planet and I'm hoping to capture that (and get some of the tears out of the way, haha). Is anyone else doing...
