Price Per Plate??

How much is your food for the reception per plate? We are having a buffet style with 4 entree options. Chicken, beef, fish, and vegetarian. It comes out to $19.95 a plate. I was just curious if that is a decent price or not.

That's an amazing price, we're paying $64 per plate (that's food only); open bar brings this whole thing up to about $130pp.

Mine is $17/person. Includes nonalcoholic drinks and all the plates, napkins, service, etc. We're doing a buffet with BBQ brisket and chicken, and 2 sides (probably rice and vegetables).

Ours was $23/person for just chicken at the buffet (nearly the cheapest option but still oh-so-delicious). Another $2k for a bunch of appetizers for 180 people. It was a GREAT deal for what we got - the venue staff and coordinator were flawless.

Around $10 pp when added up, but that's because it's a lunchtime reception with sandwiches, salad, wine for toasting and lemonade/iced tea

Hah! I so wish there was a per person price for open bar at my venue. We have to consumption based either way, so we won't know what we are spending until after the reception. Scary.

Anyway : $59pp including linens for 5 passed appetizers and a plated dinner. My beautiful cake is another $6'll

I am located in eastern ma.

I read this and let me say I am AMAZED at the prices.. I can't even imagine finding somewhere for 20 bucks a person unless they were just serving cake and water, not even the plates to put them on and definitely no chairs or venue lol... I am in NJ and I would kill to find this. It is not bad at all... I have seen avg 100 per person and if it is a really classy place 150 so I would say count your blessings... If any of you have a decent price place here in NJ let me know!

Our dinner is $9.95 per person. We're having only 2 meat options, so I think you got a great deal.

Ours is $60 per plate and is inclusive of tax, gratuity, open bar, cake cutting, linens, security, etc. Its family style with 2 meats. I prefer plated but feel it takes too long to serve.

We paid somewhere around $16.50 per person buffet style. We had Italian marinated chicken breast, beef brisket, scalloped potatoes, mixed vegetables, a dinner roll, and a garden salad.
