I’m doing all of these! The welcome bags are for hotel guests and favors for wedding guests. If I were to get rid of anything, I’d say the photo booth isn’t a necessity and you could print ceremony programs yourself on some nice paper. Our engagement pics were thrown in with our photography package but our original plan was to just have a friend take them for free (well maybe treat him to dinner/drinks afterwards) that had done holiday photos for us in the past and they turned out beautiful. There are definitely ways to cut costs.

Hi everyone, im in an interesting situation. You see this past November my son got married and now I’m helping my Mother plan her wedding 😊. Yes i said mother. Planning a senior wedding puts everything into perspective. All she wants is gathering of loved ones and memories captured. We focusing on what will matter after the wedding. Memories. So getting a good photographer, great food and DJ is our goal.

One thing we’re not doing, which is “traditional” is a garter toss or bouquet throw. Almost all of our guests are married or engaged and those that aren’t are nieces or nephews that are young adults. I can’t think of anything creepier than having my 22/20 year old nephew catch my garter.

We are keeping our wedding as minimal as possible so that we are not taking away from the purpose of the marriage. If we are doing some of these it is because they were a gift to us; such as, engagement photos, videography, most decorations.... Also, deep down we do not really care to put effort into some things. We decided we would put more of our finances in the venue and catering and treat our guests in that way instead of providing the small details. Our thought was the larger details will be what is remembered and what will make the night more enjoyable.

So we are just going to the court house on a random week day in late July prob Wednesday 7/31 then a cook out in at my house for fam and friends like Sunday I think😝💞💞

We're super low-key and if having a wedding was the prereq I prob wouldn't ever get married

Okay so idk why cake is on there cake is always apart of a wedding and should not be questioned lol. Where we are getting married is at our church we go to all else is rentals the park and the tent the reception Will be in. We did take engagement photos on the day we got engaged with my moms phone. I'm not sure about save the dates I'm doing them as like to remind the people about saving the date. We took photos with a photographer from the church for the save the dates and gave her a love gift. We are using what we have in front of us and keeping the budget safe.

I so agree about the large, memorable details! There is no reason to splurge on things folks won't remember.
