I love children. I ADORE CHILDREN.

But if you have children that you do not discipline, DON'T BRING THEM AROUND ME!!

FH and I are having a relatively child free wedding (no children outside of the wedding party)

Its a night wedding. Its formal. Find a babysitter. Have a drink. Get a hotel room and practice making the next baby!!

Our wedding is not YOUR family reunion. Nor should I be responsible for stopping your child from knocking over the cake.

I went to a wedding and saw a child lift up the brides dress and try to play hide and seek under it during the first dance!!

BTW this is not directed toward WW Brides who have children. I'm sure your babies are well behaved. FH has a cousin who does not discipline her children and even if it is clear they are not invited, would show up and throw them on the mercy of other people while she gets drunk.

I certainly never got a 300+ comment thread, much less the ability to keep it on track occasionally LOL bravo!

Yeah they sell it at the store on base, I just always forget to get it. Although I'm thinking of trying the cauli rice sushi, so I might pick some up one of these days. Mmmmmm thanks for reminding me of my crappy salad LOL

I know *some* from when I was engaged last time, but we ended up just doing JOP because I was preggers. I have the bakery picked out, as well as several venue/caterers that I'm looking at. Once I move back there I'll be able to give more detail. Even if that ring is not on her finger, get your sis on here! I won't be "officially" engaged until my annulment is finished, but check out me rocking my 5 stars Smiley smile

Well FH lives on a different continent for now, and I'm currently with a lot of time on my hands during the day, so I'm trying to do all the legwork now. That way when I am "officially" engaged I don't have to freak out so much. I'll have a much different job them, be in a new place, dealing with a new school for the kids, and FH will also be in a new place (although nowhere near us). So I have basically planned the entire thing right now. It is, of course, based on certain contingencies, but I have back up ideas, and FH has his opinions too. So I can do this planning now, and then sit back and enjoy being engaged once I have the ring Smiley smile

Oh well yeah if i were in your situation i'd be doing everything now too! my FH travels a lot for work so i figured i'd be doing most of the research etc by myself, but by no means is he living on another continent lol my cousin and her bf live together and actually work for the same company (different depts) so there's not really the same space issue for them. they've been dating for a few years now, live together, the whole shebang. she was afraid he was going to take forever to make the next move and thought she'd be waiting an eternity to get engaged...well earlier this month she had to leave for about a week and he realized he wasn't about that bachelor life anymore, and decided to tell her to start ring shopping Smiley smile

LOL right?? i told her he'd do it when he was ready to but noooo, she was all convinced he was happy just dating. i told her he wouldn't have gone through with living together and integrating life with his daughters from a prior relationship if he just wanted to date! she's close to baltimore, about 20 mins north, or 40 mins from BWI

Oh Lordie Angie I was sooo glad that we didn't have the issues I was dreading

my dad is an abusive alcoholic and can get crazy

it was actually my sisters bf that ended up being our offensive guest he was rude and crass

he left the morning of the ceremony and came back late that night after it was over I was soooo glad and then when they broke up the next weekend I did a happy dance

@Lady just leave their names off the list accidentally and pretend you never invited them. Then I simply won't let them in (unless of course they show up with International Delight). Then they won't get in, they won't eat, they won't need to sit anywhere, and when it's all said and done with, you can just blame the CIA (Cat In Action).

You might wanna turn your phone off for the day though... Just sayin.
