Is your wedding the most important day of your life?

Miss Tattoo, on November 11, 2011 at 11:54 AM Posted in Planning 0 91

So many people say this, but I just don't agree. Maybe it's because I'm older and I have had way more important milestones in my life that I know are more important than my wedding day. Does anyone else feel like this or is your wedding day going to be the highlight of your life ?

I mean, it's going to be a really great day, full of excitement and overwhelming feelings- but by no means will it be the most important day of my life, or the happiest. It ranks up there, but nothing can compare to the days my children were born Smiley smile

I think the wedding day is more important to my parents and FH parents. I guess it is a sign that their children can be okay on there own with out them now... go figure.

I've already had a child so I know my wedding won't be my most important day. Nothing can beat bringing a new life into the world.

I think this is my second most important day of my life. The first one and most and can't top it is the day my son was born. I remember it like yesterday. I can't really say about my pregnancy cause it was stressful with my in laws but the day I gave birth was the most special day in m life. My wedding day will be my second best day.

I'm not 'older' barely 22 & I don't agree with this either. Although it will be a very special day that I will never ever forget, I don't feel like it's thee most important & it must be perfect or else my life is ruuuuuuiined haha. That's also saying a lot considering I love this man more than anything in this entire world.

Absolutely not. In fact I hated the whole hype about "the most important day of my life". It certainly is important and I enjoyed every single minute of it, but it's not the highlight of my existence.

But by WW standards, I am antique too :-)

Since I don't have any children, so far my wedding day is the most important day. That'll change when my children come along in a couple of years Smiley smile

I agree with @Cavan. There will never be another moment that tops the day that my daughter was born. It was unbelievably magical. The wedding will be fun, exciting and very special, but June 30, 2010 will forever and always be my favorite Smiley smile

I wouldn't say that it will be my MOST important day.. but I do see it as being important. I'm sure it will always be one of the top 10 or whatever number... currently?? Yeah, I guess it's the most important... but I'm sure once I have children, that'll be a whole other different story.

Until I have kids, my wedding will definitely be the most important day of my life.

Nope. The day my husband finally came home safely after a year in combat, the day I met him, the day our son was born... these are all more important to me than the wedding. Though it of course ranks up there.

I think it's an important day, but not THE most important day

Hmmmmm good question. I guess the birth of my daughter (and any future children) would be "the most important" but my wedding day is def next.

Honestly, I can really pick ONE day to be the most important day. The wedding will be one of the important days of my life. I already have other important days of my life such as when I graduated high school, when I held my son for the first time, etc.

For me, the wedding isn't even in the top five. If I was real honest, I don't know if it would hit the top 10.

The wedding isn't the most important part to me, its getting married the love of my life. It's a pretty big decision and so its the most important event to me, and then my kids birth and so on. But it all starts with marrying FH, at least for me cause we don't have any kids yet. I dunno if that explains it. but thats my take on it.

I have no children but I don't think anything will top this day. Even that. I can't wait to hve children, and I think it seems like an incredible experience but I also think that 'marriage' is the foundation for any child. I think it's better for a child to be brought into this life once their's a stable, foundation in place. That's how I feel, My husband is the person that will be there up to the very very end. When the kids turn 18 they will be gone. I will always be their mother, I know, but they will be off making thier own life. And he'll be the one left standing beside me.

and all those all other great accomplishments will pale in comparison to that.

Highschool graduation, college graduation, and even the day I have my first child(which will be an incredible day, I'm sure).

This is just how I feel life is full of personal choices.
