Is your wedding the most important day of your life?

So many people say this, but I just don't agree. Maybe it's because I'm older and I have had way more important milestones in my life that I know are more important than my wedding day. Does anyone else feel like this or is your wedding day going to be the highlight of your life ?

The most important day was when i gave birth to my children and watching my grandchildren being born.

I'm pretty young yet(21), and I don't think it would count as the most important even up to this point let alone my entire life. Meeting FH is more important than the wedding day. It wouldn't be happening if the day we met had never happened.

The best 3 days of my life are the days I've given birth, absolutely nothing matches or comes close. Its a different kind of love, you know you love your husband, you know you love your mom and dad, siblings, ect. but until you see that baby, you dont know "throw your body in front of a moving train with NO hesitation" love!! For all of you who dont have children and think nothing can top your wedding, in my opinion, you're in for a wonderful wonderful surprise, it does get any better than seeing that miracle for the first time Smiley smile

Yes I think it will be the most important/memorable day of my life.

Before that was my uni graduation, and before that was my high school formal.

If I didn't think it would be important or memorable I probably wouldn't be doing it. There is also a difference between having an important day and being a bridezillia and wanting everything to be perfect. The day will be perfect regardless because of the marriage.

It was a very important day to me but not much compares to the days when I had my four children Smiley smile

Just for the record, I wasn't talking about Pumpkin or her comment when I said that some people don't know the difference between marriage and a wedding.

    KKCB- no worries.

There are some people confused here though. We aren't talking about the "best" or "happiest" we are talking about important. The vendors who say you have to have this and that because it is the most important day of your life are definitely wrong- while it may be the most important day of your life, you don't need to spend a ton.

My wedding day is my happiest day to date, although there were lots of days to rival it on our honeymoon. It was not the best day because a lot of things did not go my way. However, it is the most important day of my life to date. The day you go from girlfriend to fiance, the day you go from fiance to wife and the day you go from wife/single woman to mother are all important days.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a wedding day being the most important day of your life thus far. I think it starts a new chapter in life. Everything changes and revolves around the couple as opposed to the individual. A person finding someone that they actually want to spend the rest of their life with is a huge deal. It doesn't happen for everyone and it's a beautiful thing when it happens and lasts. I haven't had kids yet because I wanted to be married when I do so. So, to me so far, my wedding day will be the most important day in my life

I wanted to say again that I didn't want this post to be a us vs them kind of post. I just wanted to know if your wedding was the most important day in your life or have you had other moments that overshadowed it.

Like for me, I know nothing is going to top the feeling of growing a human inside of me and then bringing it into the world and watching it grow. It's hard to explain. It's such a moment of joy that your body did something it was designed to do and you freaking grew a human!

No.. I am super excited and it will be one of my best days.. but no so far the highlight of my life was when I got my college diploma in the mail.. not when I walked.. but when i got the paper in the mail.. it was 4 years of hard work, tears and laughter, family support and new friends.. that was the best day of my life so far.. then probably when the kid(s) are born.
