If one more person make a negitive comment about my engagement ring!!! Vent!

I think typically white gold makes a diamond stand out more but that doesnt give them any cause for comments! its all about what you wanted! I get comments on mine for the 3 stoned ring but i love it!

I really like your ring. I'm the type of person that likes different. My engagement ring is an amethyst....my FH picked out the perfect ring!! I get different reactions also, but I say...my ring is like Princess Kate's, however, my is a different color and didn't cost that must!!! Enjoy your ring and forget about all the negative comments!!!

I can't believe people do that to you!! No one should be saying anything along those lines to you...not everyone likes the same things, and even if they don't like/love it, they can keep it to themselves! I think your ring if beautiful, even though I like white gold better personally. But all that matters is what YOU want/wanted!!! Also, 1 carat is a very nice size...my center stone is a 1/2 carat and i have 5 smaller side stones on each side...if anyone had the nerve to comment on the size of it, or the type of gold, shame on them. Next time I would just tell them that is what you liked. . . so crazy !

2. People are idiots. Someone called my ring "cute" once- I wanted to punch her in the nose with it. I've never wanted something big, and my ring is gorgeous an dainty. Some people just don't think before they speak.

I'm glad I'm not the only one... It's just crazy to me how people are.. @Kerri.. Someone called mine cute a few times! smh.. I know the feeling. I'm not a jewelry person and never wore anything on my finger until I was engaged.

Yellow gold gets my vote, it's more traditional-less trendy

My FH got me 2k of diamonds in a yellow gold setting and said, "The ring should match the woman"

Some ppl are so rude.. our rings are actually sterling because thats what I always wear , my engagment ring was (I lost it) no where near one carat but I was happy with it I have very small hands and I perfer smaller settings... hence a smaller diamond.. so when I lost it and someone commented that now I could pick out a ring I really wanted I was a bit irritated... Hello this was the ring I really wanted.. the one my love proposed with. I'm happy you don't let it get to you.. your ring is perfect for you and thats all that should matter!!

I'm not a huge fan of yellow gold, but OMG your ring is beautiful!!! I'm in the same boat because I have a sapphire. When people ask to see my ring and they see a sapphire all I hear is Oh... Even when FH went into pick out my ring they kept trying to get him to buy a diamond, cuz diamonds are the "traditional" engagement ring. I've never been a traditional girl (oh and I had already gone in and made a wish list). The comments can be horrible and even hurtful sometimes, but it's mine and I love it. They are jealous cuz they don't have anything 1/2 as nice as yours!!!!

Your ring is beautiful. I know I will receive some of the same comments from my friends as the platinum look is "in". My FH preference is strictly yellow gold but for me he said he would change but I too love yellow gold. I showed one of my BFF's a pic of the ring and she goes "why didnt you get in white gold thats all I wear". Me: Well, sweetie, when you get married than you get white gold! Case closed!

Everyone has an opinion on what "you" should do for your wedding etc but simply "do you". Congrats!

I love your ring! Mine is very similar except I got white gold lol I don't wear much gold though most of my jewelry is silver.
