If one more person make a negitive comment about my engagement ring!!! Vent!

What matters is you adore your ring! No matter what anyone else says! Next time someone says something ask them why didnt they pick something prettier? Ok maybe not but it was a thought

I don't see anything wrong with it. It's beautiful even though I am not a fan of gold. Don't worry about their comments. I know what you mean though, because some people see my ring and they say, "Why didn't you get the solitaire kind?" I have the three stone princess ring. Well, I wanted the three stone ring, so he did good.! People are never satisfied I guess...but oh well!

I have an emerald as the center jem in my ring (surrounded by smaller diamonds) and I get those kinds of reactions a lot. At first, I just wanted people to love it as much as I did but then I realized, who cares what they think? I love it and it's MY ring so that's all that matters.

I think it's beautiful. I used to hate gold/yellow-gold. Now I love it and I'm not particularly fond of silver. =P

I know how it feels, though. I didn't want an engagement ring - I get comments on that. My wedding band is not shiney and it's not blinged out at all. It's simple and a mix of sterling silver and 10k gold. I get negative comments on it sometimes. It's still perfect to me. =)

Don't worry about what they think. It doesn't matter. It only matters that YOU love the ring and that it makes you happy. They don't have to wear it, so why do they care anyway?

Thanks ladies! I never regretted my ring even with the comments. I just sit back and laugh when I say it's one carat! lol.. It just erks me sometimes when they comment on my ring in that sense. But that is true that everyone thinks white gold looks more expensive.. It's a shame.

Personally, yellow gold isn't my style. I have more silver and white gold in my collection of jewelry. The only person that ever talked to me like white gold was bad was an employee at a jewelry store. I was kind of amazed that someone would say anything about my preference, so I get you totally!

I think it's beautiful! I understand your situation. I'm strictly silver/white gold. It's what I've always worn. FH was confused because he thought women wanted gold. It's a personal preference.

It surprises me that people would be so rude about someone's engagement ring. It doesn't matter what others think but it would still make me say something to them that they wouldn't especially like.

I feel your pain my engagement ring is a Tungsten band with Celtic engraving. So I hear alot of wheres the sparkly. I say if you love it thats all that matters!

So sitting here reading your post and my daughter walks up behind me and says "wow thats a beautiful ring, who's that for?" I said, "this lady on my wedding website that I go to." She says, "oh well her ring is prettier than yours." ..lol..

I love your ring. I know what you mean. I love yellow gold. My engagement ring is originality white gold It's still on lay away it's $200 extra to convert the ring to yellow gold. My jeweler was trying to convince me to stay with white gold but i dont like it. Never will. My necklace is yellow gold. I'm also allergic to white gold. Dont let it both yyou Its your ring and its your taste youre the one wearing it so I think you have the ring to pick your taste of jewelery.
