I need cleavage! LOL

springfever, on February 18, 2010 at 8:22 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 39

Ok this is kinda embarassing...I am somewhat small chested and I want to look amazing on my wedding day. My dress has a sweetheart neckline which has me stressed that my chest will look flat. Do any of you know of any bustiers or inserts that help to make cleavage??

My sisters are small chested and they used to have these bras that you could tighten in between the cups in the front. And you could tighten it up and give yourself cleavage. It really worked, and they were barely A cups. Not sure if they still make them, it was probably 8 years ago maybe.

@potters-I think I know which ones you are talking about. You're right that was years ago but they were very popular and I remember seeing them at the outlet malls.

the extreme pushup is great but it doesn't come in strapless. either one is a great bra for the price. just watch how low the backk of your dress is.

In addition to underthings, don't underestimate the power of properly placed highlighter and bronzer! A little bronzer between where the cleavage should be, and highlighter on the top of the chesticles will help to create an optical illusion for you. If you are wearing a necklace with your dress, go for more of a teardrop shape, which will help create a visual line down to cleavage if that makes sense.

If you look at my inspiration boards you will see that I wore 2 dresses, one was totally backless, the other was ow and strapless...and yet I had cleavage even though I am barely a B cup....the secret? SPORTS TAPE! I know it sounds nuts but it's the comfiest thing in the world! SInce it's made for athletes to tape up injuries it's comfortable on the skin, sweat proof, breathable, flexible, and won't hurt you (unlike duct tape! OUCH!) It took some practice to get it on just right but since it's only $2 a roll at walmart it was no biggie trying it out. I first tried it before going dress shopping in the heat of summer. Wore it all day no prob. No slips, no yanking your girls up all night, perfect cleavage, backless, strapless, cheap...in short, the PERFECT bra!

Duct tape would work if you lay it on a towel first. I think laura's idea of sports tape is better than the duct tape tho LOL.

Sports Tape, I hadn't thought of that. I have been searching all over for a bra to give me some cleavage (A almost B cup) and because of my broader back nothing fits right. I'm so gonna try it out!!!!

Wow, I should have started this thread! I go the "flattering me" bra - http://www.flattering.com/why_fm.html

It cost me $100 (because I'm a dumb ass and bought from the manufat. rather than a re-seller). I haven't gotten it yet, but it's susposed to do wonders and has a super low back (for low back dresses)

You could buy a water bra. Those always add a cup size or two. Or go to Victoria Secret and buy the bras that you can adjust the connector in the middle to make yourself have more cleavage.

They do make low-back bras. And you know you could also get those little silicone insert thingies. And also you can simply have some cups sewn into your dress!

Spots tape...what a great idea. I would have never thought of I will have to check that out too. There has to be something our there for all the celebrities to wear. They always wear dresses that you cant get away with bras. I wonder if that is what they use.

What does the sport tape look like? Where do you get it? Is it in the sport section or sewing section or something?
