I need cleavage! LOL

Ok this is kinda embarassing...I am somewhat small chested and I want to look amazing on my wedding day. My dress has a sweetheart neckline which has me stressed that my chest will look flat. Do any of you know of any bustiers or inserts that help to make cleavage??

Ok here's how I do it. First I cut a variety of lengths of tape and let them hang off the edge of the counter for easy grabbing. Then I lean forward and hold my girls together with one hand. I start running the strips across and under the bottom, starting on the outer end of one boobs and going to the other one. I keep layering and building up this way. Sometimes it doesn't work on the first try and I have to start over. You can end up too squished or not lifted enough, also it takes practice for it to end up smooth and not lumpy. The tape is sold in the same section as ace bandages, sports creams, and ankle braces. It's a white roll sold in a package. I've gotten it at CVS, walmart, anywhere they sell medicine type stuff. Here is a pic of the first time I got it right so I'd remember, you can also adjust for more cleavage. One of my biggest pet peeves is a girl in a beautiful gown, HIKING it up all night long. SO tacky looking!! This totally eliminates that!

Ask you seamstress if she can add alittle "cleavage" for you. They added "cutlets" to my sisters dress to make her alittle more bustier.

WOW I am not so embarrassed now. I was debating for a while before I posted this. It's good to know I'm not alone. Laura-I am totally going to buy some tape. I hope it works for me! Thanks so much for all your help!

It doesn't hurt at all. It's made to be worn on the skin, kinda like medical tape. If you're worried about the sensitive nip skin you could put a cotton pad over them, but I never had any trouble. The prob;em with just having cups sewn into the dress or even those cutlet things, is that it doesn't really PUSH your girls up and together for that good cleavage. This was really a miracle solution for me, without it I NEVER would have dreamed of wearing that second backless dress. so I hope it helps some other girls! P.S. yes I was hesitant to post that pic, a little embarrassed now! But in the name of helping out brides it's worth it Smiley winking

If the tape alone doesnt work well enough for you tak an old pair of nylons and cut the panty part off so you have 2 legs and kinda roll them in a ball and place each ball under each brest twards your arm just a bit then us the tape... you will be amazed.. cuz sometime when you don't have much to work with you have just a bit more..

YAY!! Amy I'm glad it worked for you! I seriously found it to be the most liberating discovery. I wish I had found it back in my college clubbing days when I wanted to buy backless or strapless shirts but I couldn't because no bra would work.

If you are wearing a long line bra i was told that there is something called stuffing.... i wasn't even sure what that was at first but when she fitted me with a long line bra some women will get that back fat roll that will kinda hang and look nasty "u may not have any " but i don't have anything up top so she told me to lean foward like u are ajusting urself into ur bra and take and run ur hand all the way around to pull that up front and adjust into ur bra it worked and i had boobs i was so excited lol hope it helps

What a great post! Don't worry springfever, there are other small chested brides out here feeling your pain! I think I am getting cups sewn in my dress but if that's not enough I may have to take laura k's advice and use some sports tape. What a great idea!

@Laura K - OMG! I soo PO'ed that I didn't see this thread before I ordered my bra. Its too big and makes me look even smaller - so I'm going to send it back (good by 20%) and buy some of that sports tape.

    You're like a Wedding Fairy Godmother! :-)

@daylilly I have a friend that's rather well endowed in the chest area. We always had plans to somehow even it out for us, too bad we haven't figured out a way yet. When we do I'll let you know!

Oh I have heard of this also. I actually think I could have gone without a bra for my corset dress...i'm over endowed and I think my longline pushed everything up too much.

JJ I have that problem too. But without the bra I feel weird. I going to have to shop for a good one.
