How much was your dress?

Just out of curiosity. Were you comfortable with what you paid? Was it more than you originally planned? Less? Just right? Did you splurge? Not splurge? ETA: Feel free to show off your dresses. I can't get enough of them

I had given myself a budget of $1,500, FH said that was too low. He told our daughter what the budget really was, I didnt know he had increased it. After all it's done, I'm about $200 over... but, absolutely love!!!

My budget was $1,000, but the dress I bought was $1,200ish plus $300 for the belt I purchased to be made into straps as I didn't want a strapless dress. Factor in alterations in a few months, I believe I'll have about doubled my budget! Oops, but I love my dress.

I set my budget between 2,000-3,000 and I got a $4,500 half off with extra buttons to have added down the back.

My dress was $1970 (no tax). My parents helped to pay for a huge portion of it.

Our set budget for the dress was 2k so luckily the dress I fell in love with was within that.

We had a budget of $1500-$2000. And this baby was $1550! I did pay another $50 for them to take off the bottom lace. That way, it would be cheaper for whoever does my alterations to hem the dress and add the lace back on. I paid $75 for them to ship a different dress in for me to try on but I didn't love it as much.

$1100, and $20 for alterations. It was definitely more than I wanted to spend. I was really shooting for $500 and under...but of course the consultant brought over an all lace, sheath gown for double that and I ended up loving it and I thought it was more flattering and "me" than anything else I tried on.

My Dress was 1200 and I used money I had saved up from savings bond I was gifted as a child that had matured. Since it was separate money from our actually budget I had no issue with it.

Wow some you got such great deals I feel bad that I paid so much for mine. I was willing to splurge a bit and ended up buying the Pronovias Vicenta gown for $4K, before alterations, taxes, etc.

You shouldn't feel bad about splurging. It's all about what makes you feel amazing. I'm sure you'll look fantastic walking down the aisle.

I think I did really well for the tight budget my mom gave me! I don't have any good pics yet (I'm doing a SYTTD post in a few weeks when it comes in!), but my mom bought it for $600, that included the ribbon we're replacing the corset strings with. I'm so excited to wear it!

Mine was $3,000 plus $150 for the straps. My budget was $5,000 so I am happy and surprised I actually was able to stay under it. I was a bit surprised at how expensive alterations were, but still kept me decently under budget!

$1700 not including alterations. Allure Couture originally $3500. Sample sale. I'm very happy with the price because there's a lot of beadwork that I know is expensive.

Mine was a little over $1300, and I felt bad that my mom paid because I'm still working minimum wage. Jobs in Western NY suck...

My thought when I went to buy my dress was to get the dress that made me the happiest. Thus, at the end of the day I did just that and paid whatever the cost.
