How much are you paying per person for food?

I am working on my budget for catering and was just curious how much everyone is paying per person for food. I am paying $10 per person for catering from Carrabas which includes chicken marsala or salmon with garlic mashed potatos, soup or salad, and bread.

Oh my goodness...some of those prices made my stomach turn haha...we are doing it ourselves..total cost is about 250 for ALL of our food..another 100 for beer/champagne..and we are having roughly 130. I don't feel like doing math haha but pretty darn cheap here

I haven't done the math yet. We're not ordering by plate but instead ordering each item "a la cart" since it's a buffet and the catering place offers that option. We're still deciding on everything, too. So far, it looks to be about $25/person, including appetizers.

We're paying $ 120.00 and we think we got a deal. We're getting a cocktail hour in a separate room which includes everything you can think of. Open bar. Dinner will include 4 courses choice of Chicken, Filet Migon, or Salmon. Dessert will be chocolate fountain, cookies, pastries and of course wedding cake. They also included the suite, table linens and valet service. Thought we had a deal, not sure now.

Where we live the venues I looked at are anywhere from 11.95pp to 21.95pp. Since we have to fund this wedding ourselves, we went with a venue that doesn't have catering so we can bring our own food in. We are going to order BBQ at $9 a pound which will feed 3 people. We are going to pick it up the Friday before the wedding and then a crew of my friends and I are making all of the side dishes.
