I increased my budget once, but also have rearranged it a ton! Things tend to cost more than expected or WAY less than expected. I have no in-between.

We are still in the process of planning, but it seems our budget keeps going up & up. We are trying to get it under control and are going to make some financial decisions this weekend that will likely affect catering and guest count. Since neither of us really knew what the cost of weddings was it was hard to come up with a budget. Once we saw we ballparked it, and then we made some changes that I think are going to end up costing more. Hoping to save money in other areas.

We are paying for things as we go. Trying to stay reasonable with all purchases. Haven’t really decided on a strict limit.

We didn't really have a set budget but we knew we didn't want to spend a lot if we didn't have to. Our budget seems to be constantly increasing with the more unexpected expenses we have.

We haven't had to increase our budget yet. I am fortunate to have my parents pay for the venue where we are having our reception.

We haven’t changed ours at all! In fact I just keep changing what I want. Weddings can be so expensive and I want to remember the people that are there not all the flowers and stuff.

We've managed to stick pretty close to our budget. NYC is ridiculously expensive, so we started out over budgeting. We are blessed that my parents are paying for a significant portion, but that still leaves us with $$$$ remaining. Smiley cry

I’m an accountant. I did my research and then we set the budget . Some things we have been able to get at a lower price which allowed us to put more money into others... we will netSmiley smile

We actually increased the budget twice! The first time was after we realized we wouldn't have enough time to plan a diy wedding. The second time we realized that we did not account for many things that go into a wedding. Since the second budget change, we have stuck very closely to our budget and are currently under our new budget!!

We never really set a budget. When we got engaged we set our wedding date 2 years out. So over time we had enough time to pay for things.

We don't have a set budget. We are going to pay for things as they come because everything has a different amount of time on it.

Not once, we stuck to our budget and as of today we still have room to splurge a little on some details.
