    We didn't really set a budget at first, but once we had a magical figure in mind then it changed about 3 times.

    We are desperately trying to stay on budget, but while I allowed money for my dress I completely forgot to include veil and shoes *face palm*

    I've heard other brides say the same thing! They've been able to save by finding great shoes on sale or wearing a pair they already have. Etsy has awesome veils at reasonable prices if you want to cut down on cost in that area as well!

    Twice, my fiancee doesn't know about the second increase. I'm paying for the extras, so he will never know.

    Okay so when we first started we wanted to stick to 10,000 but now we are seeing how much really cost so now it’s 15,000 but our dream venue is 13,00 with food so it’s only going up from here 😬

    None! I'm an accountant, so budget was the number one thing when it came to the planning.

    My mother never gave me an official budget, though I know there was one. I think she was expecting it to cost about half of what it actually did, but she hasn't said anything. I just hope she would say something if I was taking it too far!

    Because we did not already have a wedding savings and we have never actually set a budget, our budget is both always and never changing.

    EX;

    1. FH had car issues, so we limited the extra junk we had in our Amazon/Etsy carts to pay for it.

    2. I received a substantial bonus so we upgraded our catering (well sorta idk it is still in flux)

    I have everything lined out to a t as to when we will pay certain things but if something comes up we just take that dollar amount and say okay what can we sacrifice. At this point if we had no money (as in we both lost our jobs) we can still have the wedding it just wouldn't be quite what we wanted but it would be fine.

    We changed it a bunch of times. It keeps going up lol. First thing is I wanted a cheap dress and cheap wedding. Totally changed when I saw my dream dress which was the oposite of what I intended to go with. Then the venue obviously has to match the dress. I was originally going to go with an outdoors yard wedding or something maybe a park. But My sister found a gorgeous country club golf course. The. The photographer/videographer we were recommended was amazing! But over our budget. But the quality was so superior that we had to book him.

    About 3 times. First because we had originally set an unrealistic budget, second time was because we needed to dip into the contingency part of our budget.
