How long did you wait to get engaged?

We started talking in Nov '10 but we weren't officially in a relationship until March of '11. We got engaged on 8/5/12 so about a year and a half :-)

But I knew before we were even official that he was "The One" .. he just took a little bit longer to realize it lol

2 years 5months lol but who is counting

3 years and like a 3 years engagment

1 year and 11 days here. We were engaged for almost 11 months.

3 years and then waited 3 years to get married. Apparently we do things in 3's around here

He moved in three months after we met, asked me to marry him at about the one year mark. I said yes at the 3 year 8 month mark. will be engaged for 9 months when we get married. together a little over for years

We got engaged 4 years and 3 months after we started dating, although we started "talking" about it withing months after we started dating.

We knew from our very first date that we were meant for each other. I never believed in the "when you know, you know" saying until it happened to me. We moved in together 4 months after we got back together (broke up for reasons OTHER than our relationship for a 4 month span) and he proposed 5 months later. So 9 months in we got engaged (although before we broke up we were together for 3 months) and will be married at 2 years

4 months is when I chose my ring, 2and a half months he kept hinting at us getting married, he was terrified to tell me he loved me but the rest came so easy, I told him I run when people say I love you... I've ran for less than those words. At 2 and a half months we started planning a vacation an he kePt telling me Vegas. And I told him nope if we're doing it were doing it right. At so short a time I thought everyone would think we were crazy, but everyone is crazy supportive. He said when you know you know, why wait four years when you know it's the one? His sister met a man and married him 2 months later at the courthouse.

Also, side note: I was TERRIFIED of marriage before I met him, that's part of the reason I know he's so perfect for me

We got engaged after 13 months!

He proposed on our 4 yr ann and we will be married 2 months before the 5 yr mark!

We were engaged after about a year and a half, but we had discussed it seriously for a while.

3.5 months when we got engaged seems like a short time but we are absolute perfect for one another. He made me realize that when you know it you know it statement really does exist. God and my passed away father had a hand in us getting together I know it. We have been married a month and a week and I see us together until we die.

Two years

We were together 2 1/2 years when he proposed (last October) and we set the wedding date for this October.

We got engaged after being together for 3 years and 4 months. Within the first year we started talking about it. After 3 months of dating he wanted me to move in with him, it took me 6 more months to finally move in. We got engaged may 2011. We will be engaged for 2 years before we get married and by the time we get married it will be 5 years and 5 months together. I knew within the first month I wanted to marry him though.

2 months.

We had been dating for 6 years and 3ish months when we got engaged. We started dating young and wanted to get ourselves established first It wiill be over 7 years by the time we get married!

We got engaged after 7 years and have been engaged for 21 months by th time we get married
