Honeymoon & Wedding Insurance

Rachel, on February 1, 2019 at 9:41 PM Posted in Planning

I'm starting to look at this now. I have basic travel insurance with my credit cards, but we are spending so much money on both our wedding & honeymoon, I think I would just sleep better if I knew we were covered and wouldn't lose out on everything should something happen.

What companies have you all used? Any good suggestions?

I am required to get wedding insurance through wedsafe. It’s like $250 and includes everything except change of heart.

Thanks, I’ll check this out. Did your venue require you to get it?

Hi Rachel! I would definitely check with your venue first hard about their insurance policies to make sure you are covered! The same goes for your honeymoon-- I would contact a local travel agent for advice on trip coverage!

Our venue required us to get insurance if we planned on serving alcohol. I looked at some online quotes through Progressive but that's all.

I think this is a great article about various vendors: https://www.nerdwallet.com/blog/insurance/wedding-insurance/
