Is anyone getting a new perfume for your wedding day?

For work I wear bath and body works or vickys body sprays. Aside from that my norms are perry ellis 360 (for church lol) and versace woman. FH bought me flora by gucci for v-day and I love it. I was thinking about getting a new one for the wedding day BUT since I dnt have a "something old" the flora may just be it. haha

FH is like yours and loves cologne and wants to get me into perfume! Im addicted to Carols Daughter Almond Cookie perfume spray!

I have never been a perfume wearer..everything seems to give me a headache or watery eyes. I mostly wear body sprays with the matching body wash. I just found one yesterday called "vanilla and brown sugar"...it was only a few bucks at one of the dollar stores but I like it better then one I was going to get at a specialty store. I have not decided yet if I will start using these on my wedding day and then make sure to pack them for the HM or to start using it today b/c is smells SO good!!!!

I want to have something he hasn't smelled on me before for the wedding. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Versace Woman. I gave FMIL a bottle for Christmas and she loves it too. It just smells "pretty". I think I smelled that flora before. I'll have to check it out.

MayBride I was the same way. Everything seemed to give me a headache or make me nauseous. I was so excited to finally be able to wear some perfume lol.

I wear Burberry Brit - how appropriate eh? lol. He LOVES it on me, although there's a nina ricci one (apple bottle) that smells really good, once it wears off, bit sweet at first. I think I'll stick with the Brit, since I'm really picky when it comes to perfume. Most of them are sooo sickly sweet.

Brit is nice too. Hmmmm

I got for the wedding amazing grace because it has a beachy scent and is not overpowering at all.

My favorite is "Lolita," which is a really nice summery, honeysuckle-based scent with a hint of orange.

In general, it can be really hard to predict how a scent will smell on a particular person, though, so whatever you consider, definitely try it out before you wear it in the wedding--perfume changes based on individual body chemistry, and over the course of a few hours being worn, so you want to give yourself a long enough trial run to really know how it will smell on the big day!

HALLOWEEN BY JESUS DEL POZO, I LOVE IT AND FH LOVES IT TOO. ITS JUST A GREAT SENT. ALSO ISSEY MIYAKE IS REALLY NICE.

For day I alternate between Philosophy Unconditional Love and Ralph Lauren Romance. I use Versace Bright Crystal when out in the evening.

@Sharon. I love the Burberry scents. My bestie got me hooked on Weekend, which is now my go to scent, while she moved from that one to Brit.

The sense of smell is the most powerful when it comes to memory recall. If you wear something you know he'll like, and he's never smelled on you, then every time you wear it, he'll flash back the the wedding/honeymoon, and it'll help to put him in a good mood.

My favorites are CKBe, Curious by Britney Spears, Tommy Girl, Lucky You (in the green bottle, not the pink one), and Villain by Disney.

Unique, I think I've figured out which ones to avoid. FH is a cologne/perfume connoisseur. The man actually took a seminar about fragrances lol! So he helped me to recognize what components/scents I need to avoid. I can usually tell right away what absolutely won't work on me. And then if I find a scent I think I might like, I'll spray it on my skin and wait an hour or so to see how it is after it settles. So I absolutely won't go into the wedding blindsided lol.

I wear the same perfume every day (212 Sexy).. I like that it's "me" to my FH and friends.. I don't plan to change that for the wedding day.

I always said I would wear Vera Wang. I hadnt even thought about it until I saw this thread. I'll look into it! But i still LOVE that scent!

I have the same problem, anything FH likes gives me a headache, and anything I like gives HIM a headache. Right now I have Ralph Lauren Wild and some other one I can't remember the name. As long as I put it on minimally and don't go near FH for the first 5 minutes, we're fine lol.

But I would really like to find a new perfume for our Wedding that we can BOTH enjoy.

We love a lot of the same scents, but they just give us such a headache it's crazy!

FH hates sweet smelling stuff. He got me some Giorgio Armani fragrance at Christmas and I'm almost out. I usually don't wear anything because I always forget! I also have L'Occitane's Green Tea which I like as well. FH is big into cologne and the cabinet on his side of the counter is almost completely filled with cologne! I guess that's how he got me though-by always smelling good! LOL

Burberry perfumes are my favorite. the regular Burberry and the Burbrerry brit are my favorites. I would go with Versace woman....boy that is one hell of a scent.

I would but my FH HATES perfume. I have a favorite perfume and he gags everytime I put it on (and I only put on one spray). It is Velocity by Mary Kay.
