I thought I knew exactly what I wanted, I wanted form fitting with bling every where and no veil. I still got form fitting but it’s very simple, the only bling I have is from my belt and my shoes and I have a birdcage veil

I went in persistent that I didn’t not want tulle and ended up with my beautiful gown that’s a champagne blush color with tulle.
I knew exactly what I wanted just needed to find the right one and I did and love it so much. I tried on a lot in this style but this one was the first one that made me cry and picture myself walking to my future husband!
I knew I wanted a ballgown before we started shopping. I tried on all the different styles but I ended up going back to the big poofy dress! I love the romantic feel of a ballgown and I've never worn one before. I felt like this was my last chance to wear a ballgown and almost a year later I'm still totally in love with my decision!
I got exactly what I wanted! Personally, it was really useful to have guidelines for my dress that had meaning to me as I think so many wedding dresses are clearly beautiful in their own right. For example, my FH is Chinese so I wanted a dress that was a combination of our cultures. At first I thought it would be nearly impossible and realistically I'd only get one element of a Chinese qipao and nobody would even notice. But somehow I managed to stumble on this gorgeous, perfect dress that was high neck, cap sleeves, mermaid, key hole back... And it just made me instantly so happy to put it on. 😊😊 Can't wait to surprise my fiancé!!
I did! I went in wanting a simple satin A-line dress with a lace veil and left with a form fitting crepe and lace dress with a lace veil haha. But it was the only one that made me emotional

Omg Jordan your dress looks GORGEOUS on you!! I decided to go the non-traditional route and not wear white... but seeing you in this dress is giving me some serious second thoughts!
OMG. Yes lol I went into two different shops and tried on sooo many dresses and they were all great but when i showed the girl i worked with my pinterest i showed her a picture of a satin ballgown and specifically told her i wanted to try one like it but i probably wouldnt like it let alone buy it. i had imagined a soft tulle long sleeve dress and i bought that strapless satin ballgown because it was the only dress i felt amazing in and CRIED lol
Definitely. I was set on buying my dress online from Azazie for budget reasons as well as the convenience of custom sizing rather than paying for alterations. I was nervous that if I went to a bridal shop to search for a dress that I would be spending over 1k for a dress plus hundreds of more dollars for alterations for a dress that I would only wear for one day, when I could pay $300-$500 for a dress online that looked just as beautiful. I chose Angelique to be my dress after sampling it because I felt beautiful in it and I loved the lace appliqués all over the skirt. However, I ordered another sample more accurate to my size to see how it felt and fit, and I felt less confident in the dress after noticing that the bodice was sheer (which wasn't how it was in the pictures online) so that it showed the boning and even so far as the hanger straps that said "Azazie" on it through the bodice. I also wasn't so crazy about how deep the v-neck was, I mostly loved the skirt. I still think Azazie is a great choice for brides, I just didn't want to buy a dress that I wasn't completely confident in.
So my friend recommended a small bridal shop by her that she loved and tended to be more affordable than other places, so I decided to take her up on it. The first dress I tried on I fell absolutely in love with, and I had no doubts about it. It had the lace appliqués all over the skirt that I had loved in the original dress. All the dresses I tried on after it, I just kept responding with "I like the first dress." The bridal shop so happened to be having a sale so I got a huge deal on the dress. With alterations, it won't be more than $800, which I'm so happy that I'm spending under 1k. The dress is a size small on me so they are adding a corset to it to help me fit in it, which I'm super happy about that. Anyways, here are the dresses:

I agree with not going pure white mine is like ivory/champagne, but thank you! I seriously love this dress! Hardest part is that it's in ohio and I live in boston so I have to be careful about fitting into the dress right now it fits perfectly
