Did you announce your engagement on social media?

We announced it on social media that evening after we had been able to call and tell all of our family members.

We announced it on Facebook that same evening after telling our family members and a couple of our closest friends! I thought to wait a couple days but he was so eager to announce it!

My fiancé posted it on social media before we even got back to the car! Thankfully he called my parents and my aunt beforehand to let them know (he previously got my parents approval, just a heads up he was popping the question that night!). My sister found out online since I hadn’t had a chance to call her. Wish he waited a little bit, but oh well!

Oh no, we didn't announce it on social media. We just told our close family and friends.

We Facetimed/phoned our parents, siblings, best friends, and grandmas the night we got engaged. Then the next day I posted a ring picture on social media with the announcement.

After the proposal, we both called our parents and text our very closest friends who were to be the wedding party. After that, phones went away so we could absorb the day privately (it was also our anniversary). After dinner, we did a Facebook live video to spread the news and invited everyone in our city to join us at a pub for a spontaneous celebration.

We told our family members first. We haven't made our engagement public yet.

Aww he was too excited to wait! That's awesome that he gave your family a heads up, I'm sure they were waiting by the phone to hear the news!

One of our fav cities is Jupiter FL, we live about 40 min south of there. So he took me to the Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa for our one year anniversary of the day we met and he proposed on the beach that evening at sunset, near the jetty with the lighthouse behind us. The lighthouse is our special place and where we’ll say I do! So long story short, yes it was on the beach. But our special beach ❤️ Thanks for asking ☺️

We made the announcement on socials after we had called all of our close friends and family. We didn't want someone close finding out on Facebook, you know?

We announced it of sorts two weeks later after we told all of our close family and friends. And by of sorts, we both didn't change our "status" to engage (until about a week ago and we got engaged the end of April) but rather made several posts that we had moved and started new jobs and changed our profile pictures to the one that's attached. 😁
