Did you announce your engagement on social media?

We announced it after telling family and wedding party members, it was several days after the proposal.

We called / texted our friends and family, had a nice lunch and once we had heard back from everyone we contacted directly, we put it on Facebook

I made a post saying "I said yes" the next day after we had a chance to tell family and close friends. He told my parents and brother ahead of time and had apparently told his ENTIRE family about it a month prior at a family event. Somehow he was even showing a few people pictures of the ring and I was in the same room the whole time. But we just waited until the next day because we wanted a chance to call everyone that we felt shouldn't find out from social media alone.

We both posted the day after he asked. Most of my family new it was coming, as we had been discussing it a lot, but we still called our parents to tell them personally.
I posted separately on Instagram and Facebook, because most of my friends no longer use FB often.
I think on insta I said "I guess he likes me, he put a ring on it!"
And on FB it was "I went to San Francisco with my boyfriend and I'm coming home with my fiance" ❤️

He was also excited to post about it. And now we have only 18 days till the wedding!

We didn't announce our engagement on social media because neither my FH nor I are really into it. We told our immediate family and close friends in the week after we were engaged. Anyone who has found out we are engaged aside from those in our close group found out by word-of-mouth and that was completely fine with us!

I called my parents, texted my best friends and brothers and then posted that night

I designed an engagement announcement card and mailed it to friends and family a couple weeks after the engagement! It went really well and then after that we posted it on social media. 😊

I posted on FB after I had made sure to tell all of my family and close friends either in person or via phone. I did not want them to find out online first.

We pretty much announced it right away. H had his dad record our proposal and then H uploaded it to Facebook. (We called our moms first though.)

Awww what a sweet story! And how cool that you are getting married in the same place, too! I've heard great things about Jupiter Beach!

We were on a camping trip in Maine so we didn't have much service. However, everyone we're close to knew he was proposing that weekend and was waiting by the phone. We called our parents, grandparents, and closest friends that day. We posted this picture on social media a few days later at the end of our camping trip.

Oooh sneaky! I'm sure some people totally overlooked it while others eyes went straight to the ring!

We waited a few days so that we had a chance to let close family and friends know before posting on social media.

I announced it right after!!! Pic says it all ❤️

We posted it on social media the next morning. We told our family the night it happened, but announced this picture to our friends the next day. This is my pup Summer!

Summer

We had spread the news on social media. Facebook and Instagram. We called all close family and friends before we made any announcement on social media! So we waited about 3 hours before posting something.

We were on a trip in the mountains and had to wait until we got out of the national park before we could call our families. We then ate at a Mexican restaurant and it wasn't until we arrived home from our trip later that day that I posted on Instagram the announcement. We had to be sure everybody in the family was either called or texted before we posted it. My sister posted on Facebook the next day which actually notified all of the extended family.
