I first snapchatted my sibling group chat, waited until they responded and then that was my go ahead to post. My parents already knew.

I posted these pictures and said "I got a fiance for my birthday! 💍"

We decided to announce it today after he proposed to me on high school graduation night which was June 1st, 2018.

Hey everyone I'm Kathleen and my wonderful Andrew proposed to me on Black Friday this year, November 23rd! It was a family event taking the horses up into the mountains, even though they weren't cooperative, and Andrew took me up to the top to some up the beautiful views and make sure my day was memorable! Plus coming back down the mountains with champagne waiting from our parents and siblings was a plus!

We were spending the weekend in NYC, visiting my sister. They had it all planned out. He took me for a walk to get coffee and stroll through Washington Square Park, and before I knew it he was down on one knee. It was the most perfect weekend! We announced it on social media after letting all our closest friends and family know!

We waited a day to post it. But he had surprised me with my family and his family waiting on top of a rock, where we went on a hike and he proposed! 😭😍😭

We waited over a week before posting on social media. I wanted to allow our close family and friends to be told that couldn't be there for when he did propose. Our immediate family was there though!

We announced it on social media about 3 days later. We wanted to call/text all of our family & close friends first because we didn’t want anyone to get their feelings hurt by finding out via social media. We also had a professional photographer and were waiting to get those pics before posting (otherwise it would have been about 2 days after because that’s how long it took to get through everyone).

We announce it the same day it happen my boyfriend poped the question on my 25Th birthday which is November 17,in front of our family and afterwards I called my family who don't live in town and told them the good news and then I posted it on social media so everyone else can see... We are high school sweet hearts and been together 8 years and share three kids .. I never thought it would happen I was in complete shocked and brusted into tears

My beautiful fiancé and I got engaged in North Carolina this past March!! Before popping the question, I spoke with her mother and father seperately and asked for their blessing. Even though our wedding is not traditional and something that both parents aren’t “accustomed” to, they both were supportive and absolutely gave me their blessing! To surprise my beautiful girl, I planned a hike to a gorgeous waterfall in the DuPont National Forest. After a short 15-minute hike, we made it to the falls. I whipped out a picnic blanket from our backpack along with some champagne and we enjoyed the beauty of our surroundings. After a few anxious minutes, I pulled out the proposal letter I had written (which was way too long!) and began to read it, shaking and shivering. Shortly after a couple of what seemed to be endless moments, I bent down one knee and asked the woman of my dreams to be my wife! I put a ring on it y’all! #shesaidyes !! Through tears and beaming smiles, a hidden photographer was able to capture our specials moments. We even were able to do an on-the-spot photoshoot that was truely breathtaking, memorable, and exceeded all of my hopes! The wedding planning has officially begun and we are thrilled! To date, we have booked our venue, set a date, & are working on hiring a wedding planner. We could absolutely use some extra help for our wedding and are SO excited for our big day!
