Did you announce your engagement on social media?

We waited just about a week because we wanted to tell everyone we could in person or by phone that is close to us. Then I posted the video!

FaceTimed my parents, they were anxiously waiting. As I was doing that he was updating his Facebook status, but I made him wait. I quickly called my sister and texted my BFF. I let him do it after I did that. So it was on social
media after about 30 minutes. I wanted to do something cute the next morning but he was excited. We didn’t call his parents til later.

Mine was rather boring, so here is FH's engagement announcement on instagram. We had to wait about a month for the social media one since we wanted our family to know first - and face to face as much as possible.

We announced our engagement after being engaged for about 3 weeks on social media. During this time we were able to tell those who are close to us. I’m not a big social media person but FH is. He was excited so i was okay with updating our status. I have only shared our “I said Yes” photo with those close to us.

Not exactly. We are both the type that keep things private, and are not very active on social media. However, I posted a picture of us together, on my birthday (got engaged on my birthday LOL) sneakily showing the ring. We wanted to see if anybody would notice. Some did, some did not. And we just left it like that. . Besides that, we just told our family and close friends.

We were on a trip with our best friends, and they all knew he was proposing. (I still can’t believe they all kept it a secret!) after he proposed, we called parents, siblings, and grandma. Once we told everyone the good news, we posted on social media later that day. We both also texted some friends individually.

I posted later in the day after we called our parents and closest friends. I recently just went back and re-read all the nice comments because I was in a haze that day, it was so nice to revisit all the sweet things people said!

Aww that sounds like so much fun!! What a great way to celebrate the engagement!

We changed our relationship status on fb to “engaged” about 5 days after we got engaged, after we had told family and bffs. Didn’t make an actual post other than that.

We announced it the day that we picked up the ring from the jeweler. So probably like 2 weeks after the actual proposal.

We told our family and close friends right away! Then we posted on social media right before we went to sleep that night Woke up to so many amazing well wishes!

I waited about 2 weeks before announcing it on social media. He doesn't have social media and i wanted to make sure the closest family and friends knew first.

We waited 3 days after we got engaged to announce it on Social Media. We wanted to make sure our close family & friends were told first before announcing it to everyone Of course we included photos from the proposal, especially since we had the gorgeous backdrop of Joshua Tree National Park & the Coachella Valley below!

No we didn't even "announce" our wedding on Social media we did post a few pics but no official post.
