I plan on having a cash bar for our reception....I read in an article that was rude....should I just pay for the bar....I don't really want to because it's not in my budget

$400 should be enough for 95 people?

Yup. I think it will be fine. Although it helps that the reception is only 4 hours, ends at 9 and is on a Sunday, drinking tendencies wise.

Alexandra--while I don't agree with "we're having x amount of booze and when it's gone, it's gone, sorry not sorry", I do agree that you will need far less booze than a 5-6 hour party ending at 11pm on a Saturday.

Doesn't really equal the same seeing as you're paying bar drink prices and im buying it whole sale but whatever.

My hella cheap ass will have fun as will my family regardless.

If the reception is about the bride and groom, why even provide food and a cash bar?

Just have a table for them to leave their gifts for you and send them on their way!

I for one can't wait for my guests to get drunk. Do you know how many friends I have that don't like to dance until they're at least buzzed? The fun level is going to go from a 3 to a 10 once people are feelin nice. I can't freaking wait.

    For 130 people I'm having:

    10 bottles of whiskey

    6 bottles of Rum

    6 bottles of Vodka

90 bottles of wines and champagne

A cocktail drink for the cocktail hour

+ mixers and juices and sodas

How in the workd do some people do $400?! On alcohol?!

@Alexandra - FIGURATIVELY. Or, perhaps you meant this is the epitome of beating a dead horse. But until someone starts hitting Bullseye with a sledgehammer, it's not literal.

Damn. These double rings all need to go back to English class and learn literary terms.

@beutivant oh don't worry I'm not leaving WW just this post. I've tried changing my avatar 3 times. Once online and two times through the browser on my phone. For some reason it's not working. I'll just have to email them and see what's up.
