Any other brides avoiding high heels?

I don't do great in high heels -- anyone else wearing flats or low shoes for their wedding? Where did you find them?

I already had to order my dress in petite I'm so short...and I still need a slight heel with my dress. No way I was going to spend a fortune then getting it shortened. Mine are 2 1/2 and have memory foam in the front to help. For the reception a have a cute pair of pink ballet slippers I am wearing...nobody will see them anyway at that point.

    I want to wear a little wedge...nothing too high...but I can't wear flats because FH is 10-1/2 inches taller than me!! I'm only 5'5-1/2", and he's 6'4"!!!!

Thanks for the ideas about looking for shoes around Easter time!!!

I was considering flats before I even bought my dress. I am going to be on my feet all day and what to be comforatble. Then I ordered my dress and forgot to get it extra length, so it is too short for heals, but perfect for flats. So now I ahve no choice, but I am not too upset.

I still haven't gotten my shoes. Last summer I saw a lot of cute shoes, but by the time I was ready to actually shop for wedding shoes and the spring/summer styles were out and the fall/winter styles were in. I have my heart set on pink flats, so I am waiting for the spring styles to come in. When I was at Target a few days ago, I saw that a lot of the boots are on 50% clearance and a few spring styles are starting to hit the shelves. BY early March, I think all the spring styles will be in and I will have to make a trip to the mall.

I wore great flats! I bought them at Nordstrom's. So comfortable! I'm not wearing them so much right now because it's winter and I can't wear socks with them, but i wore them SO much after the wedding, so I don't mind that I splurged on them. The were Borns.

I'm planning in flats. The ceremony and reception are outside and I don't want to risk rolling an ankle on a rock or something.

Wearing flat sandals for the reasons everyone else is Smiley smile My FH and I are about the same height already, plus I am much more comfortable when I'm not in heels. Though I do love the way heels make my legs look! Smiley winking

I am going to wear either flats or something with a small heel. I have never worn high heels in my life...every guy I have ever been with has always been my height!!

AVOIDING THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE! LOL

Heels even 2 or 3" hurt my feet and I refuse to be that uncomfortable on my wedding day - one of the many many reasons I am going with my cowboy boots. I can wear them ALLL day and not feel a thing!

I am wearing small (2-3") heels for the ceremony and pictures, but I am then changing into flip flops for the reception.. so much more comfy...It's your day do what makes you feel good.. if you dont like heels then go flats! It's all about what you want!!!
