Any other brides avoiding high heels?

I don't do great in high heels -- anyone else wearing flats or low shoes for their wedding? Where did you find them?

I was looking for small heels or flats. FH is about 4 inches taller then me so I didnt want to be too close in height. I wanted to keep our heights normal for us Smiley smile I found some blue flats that were perfect at Beals outlet for under 20$. Love them and they are SUPER comfy!

They are blue which is exactly what I was looking for. Pictures kinda crappy but you get the idea Smiley smile

I'm a heels girl, the higher the better.

But Zappos and Nordstrom online have awesome selections and super easy shipping/return policies.

In person - I score occasionally at DSW or Off Broadway. But I have really tiny feet and it's hard to find my size sometimes, so I usually just go online to Zappos or Nordstrom.

Remember if you find a plain flat shoe, you can always bedazzle it, add a flower or vintage brooch to the vamp, etc.

    Happy shoppings. Smiley smile

I plan on wearing either flats or even bridal flip flops. FH and I are the exact same height so it makes it difficult to wear heels. I'm not a heels type of person anyway.

Don't go from Heels to Flats

You dress will drag and you will step on the front hem while you are walking.

This will cause you to trip and maybe even rip your dress. You will need to hold up the front of your dress when ever you are walking and your arms will get very tired.

If you can not wear your heels all night, get a pair of those thick platform flip flops to change into. Your back up shoes need to be as tall as your heels.

The highest heel i'm wearing is 2 inches and it will be a wide one at that. I still can't understand how people walk in those skinny little high heels... I'd fall on my butt! Besides our ceremony is on the grass! Heals are impossible.

I used to wear heels so often that I couldn't wear flats when I needed to, but now, I can't seem to waddle in heels (I put on a few pounds Smiley sad )

I'm wearing boots for several reasons. I like -strike that, LOVE - my boots. I have one pair I've pretty much destroyed I've worn them so much. I live on a farm where critters can peek their heads out from all over (tripped in a snake hole the first day out there) so they are useful. We're getting married on a ranch, so boots work for the occasion.

I have not decided what pair I am wearing, or if I will let Momma buy me a new pair (since most of mine are either mucky or worn out). I will share ASAP though Smiley smile

I definitely just bought some olive green Toms at Whole Foods this morning Smiley smile I am either wearing those or some cute little yellow flats my sister bought me for Christmas. The only reason I'm leaning toward the Toms is because the sole is a lot sturdier. They probably aren't "fancy" enough to match my dress, but I haven't found any really adorable dressy flats in either of the colors that I wanted, and there is no way I'm wearing heels. I would want to die like 5 minutes into my ceremony.

I’m wearing western boots that FH bought for each other on our 3rd anniversary together. We wore them for our engagement shoot as well. They hold significant value and fit the country theme of our wedding!

FH and I are wearing dc comics chucks, and the rest of the bp are wearing other solid color chucks. Smiley smile We are pretty excited about the shoes.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with problems. I am getting some of these and some flipflops for later.

One of my friend who just got married ordered high heels for her wedding from True Gault.

They did her shoes made to order based on her measurements, so they were very comfortable! I'm looking into getting them for my wedding, too.

Here's their website, for anyone interested. www.truegault.com
