Wedding details
Believe it or not, my fiance and I met QUITE by accident on July 2, 2010. I was with a client, and left for lunch a couple of minutes late, and decided from there to wander to Walgreens. I picked up two big bottles of local water called Texas Rain, and a rather large bottle of diet Dr Pepper, and began to round the corner when suddenly, I was looking at a man's torso. I looked up and saw a very good looking man about my age saying "Whooooa! You must be thirsty!" I informed him that I couldn't drink the tap water because it always seemed to make me sick, which started a debate on which local town had the worst water (he eventually won, by the way) and we went our seperate ways. We ended up in line together, and began our chat again. I walked slowly to my truck, hoping he'd follow me, but suspecting he wouldn't. As it turns out, he did, just as I was beginning to back out of the parking lot. We hung out for a while, and went our seperate ways, then a month or so later, made up and started dating again. By December, we were madly in love... and he was headed up to Oklahoma. I was beyond heart broken, I was shattered! But we stuck it out through faith (as I learned from him) and seven months later, he came back to Texas. October of 2011, we traveled back to Oklahoma together to see his family, and this is when we learned something remarkable. Our fathers not only knew each other, but they were friends! To boot, I heard stories from my future father in law that my father had told me!! I remembered the frustration in my father as he talked about a man who he just could not get to work for him. My father passed 5 years ago, and it was phenominal to learn about the connection between my dad, and my darling Joshua's dad! April 22 of 2012, we were officially engaged and this wild roller coaster ride began! We're both so excited (and a little nervous!) and can not wait for the big day!
