Any other brides avoiding high heels?

RMK, on February 9, 2013 at 3:22 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 74

I don't do great in high heels -- anyone else wearing flats or low shoes for their wedding? Where did you find them?

I haven't got my shoes yet as I'm waiting for my dress to come in so I can see what height I need but I'm praying I get to wear low heels or flats, I also don't do good in heels any more use to love to wear them even wore 5" ones but not no more!

I'm wearing flat shoes, maybe even Toms, I'm laid back girl and I want to be comfortable! My FH isn't much taller than me either so I'm definitely not wearing heels.

I wanted to find the shoes before my dress came in, so I could try it on with the shoes to get it hemmed to the right length.

@Jackie -- 5" wow! I would fall over immediately! haha

I'm wearing flats mainly bc my FH is only 3-4 inches taller than me and I want to be shorter in the pictures, but also because I don't want my feet to hurt! I have bought both of these shoes as possibilities but haven't decided yet:

Im getting married on the beach so I'll probably be barefoot. So because of the hemming situation ill stick with flats for the reception.

@Ashley comfort is definitely important! Toms even has a wedding section on their website, that's wonderful

I'm wearing flats too! I found silver sparkle ones. I'm more comfortable in flats and don't want to be taller than my FH.

@Ren love the yesstyle shoes. You didn't worry about ordering shoes online?

I will start looking around easter since they always have super cute shoes on sale at that time. I am hoping to beable to find really low heels or even flats but I think I'm going to need to add an inch or 2 because of the design on the bottom of my dress. I'll have to figure it out later on.

Im ok with high-heels as long as its not a stilletto BUT since we are having a backyard ceremony and a relaxed dance style reception, im sticking with ballet flats Smiley smile

Me! Can't wear them due to a bad hip that I can't put extra pressure on. FH is also a full foot taller than me, LOL! I'll probably cheat a wear a pair just for a few pictures, but wear flats or a low kitten heel the majority of the night.

I hate heels. I wore purple knee high Converses. The whole bridal party was in Converses, actually.

Thanks! Neither of the pairs was >$20 so nope, I didn't worry too much lol! I happened to catch the yesstyle flats on sale and then googled for coupon codes and got free shipping as well! Luckily they both fit so it will be a tough decision to make! Maybe I will even wear both at some point throughout the day Smiley smile

I can't. The shoe Im wearing is in my main pic. I'd rather wear heels all night than pay 150.00 to have my gown hemmed. And they really aren't uncomfortable either Smiley smile

Http://www.etsy.com/listing/93131531/feather-pearl-crystal-art-deco-inspired? This is something like what I want to order. I have flat feet so no heels. They hurt to much. I am particular about my shoes, so I am hoping to either find someone in this area to do the shoes or go with something more plain.

@MrsC I feel your pain with the flat feet.

I was looking at some flat and reasonably priced shoes here: http://www.benjaminwalkcorp.com/index.php?pg=bridal

Of course, by looking for low shoes I kept accidentally clicking on flower girl shoes Smiley smile But there's some ballet slippers and low heels that seem nice enough

I'm wearing flats but my shoes were a splurge. Do you have a DSW near you? They have super cute flats for spring.
