  Service was first class .... John kept in communication constantly from concept design until delivery. Finishing was superb he first made a 6.025 Carat Engagement ring with a Canary Yellow 3 carat emerald cut central stone with 3 carat of diamonds around the edge in Platinum which was outstanding he then made us matching his and hers wedding bands to match the engagement ring which have just been delivered to the same exceptional standards.
  The same rings in the UK would be at least 3 times the price as I have found out before and after.
  We are over the moon with the service and quality craftsmanship provided and we will continue to use John in the future. A+++++++++

  I purchased an engagement ring from "the47thdiamond". Everything from quality of service and on was so great. I was able to email and the seller kept in contact, which was very reassuring.

  We purchased my engagement/wedding ring from Diamonds from New York. We wanted a ring that was unusual and unique, good quality, and made from Palladium. Our local jewelers wanted astronomical amounts of money to custom make a ring for us if they were even capable of working with Palladium. After a lot of research, communicating, and a little reservation about ordering a ring from so far from us, we decided to have Diamonds from New York make my ring. They made the ring exactly like we wanted, going by nothing but a few pictures and desired measurements for the band and diamonds. The custom palladium and diamond ring turned out perfect, exactly what we envisioned, just gorgeous, reasonably priced (as compared to local jewelers). If you want a ring that is different from everyone else or have a specific idea of what you want but can't find it, call Diamonds from New York.

  John made my engagement ring setting and matching wedding ring for me from a photo. I wanted to modify the setting to accommodate a pear shaped diamond and a straight wedding band (the one in the original photo was curved and I wanted to be able to wear it alone. I initially wasn't happy with the rings and sent them back twice. The third time, he sent back the most gorgeous rings I've ever seen (which is the reaction you want when it's a wedding set). My diamond is truly colorless and very brilliant - and the rings have very high quality diamonds and they are matched. I brought my diamond to be put into the new setting and my jeweler (who's actually retired now) smiled and said that this was the quality he likes to see. It's very hard to find pear shaped settings in the stores, and my rings that came were of much higher quality. The stones are gorgeous and the metal workmanship is very high quality. I did need to get the final buffing and cleaning when I had my stone set - which is normal and standard.

  This vendor is a total bait and switch - have the diamonds checked independently, as they must print their own certificates. My cert stated the diamond was 2ct color F and VS1. This was not the case, it was actually SI3 - I1 and H in color. The value was about $30,000 less then stated. Don't trust them, and get independent verification!

  Scam alert!
  They are pretending to be the 47th Diamond district but they sell treated and low quality diamonds while lying about the grade and not disclosing treatments. They mostly target online shoppers and scam their information and credit cards. There is no John, it's an Indian company scamming as much as they can on eBay and through hazrati.com.
