As a wedding photographer, I’m always looking for venues that offer ease, beauty, and an exceptional experience for both couples and vendors. This venue checks so many of those boxes, making it a great choice for couples looking for a modern, intimate venue with unique charm. I love Stang Reserve's modern aesthetic because it offers so much for photography. The wooden accent walls and large windows provide a natural yet contemporary vibe, with plenty of soft, flattering light. The space has an art gallery feel that makes every moment look polished. Strang Reserve is also wonderfully inclusive, with gender-neutral restrooms and a welcoming atmosphere for LGBTQ+ couples. It’s a space where every couple can celebrate authentically and comfortably.

We got married here on 09/28/24 and have nothing but great things to say! We utilized the Courtyard Deck for our Ceremony, which was absolutely beautiful, and we had our Reception in the Sadona Ballroom. Mira did everything she could to make sure our wedding day was everything we ever dreamed of and more, she goes above and beyond for her clients. Chef Jeremy is an incredible cook that we still have people talking about how good the food was to this day. We got so many compliments from guests about our venue/vendors. One of our guests even told us that the food was so good that he dreamed about it 2 months later, LOL! All of the management and workers there are awesome. The Banquet team also did an amazing job with decorating, etc! What a blessing is was to get married at the DoubleTree Hotel in Overland Park.🙏❤️

I can’t say enough great things about The Venue in Leawood! From start to finish, everything was truly perfect. The space itself was exactly what I needed — spacious enough to comfortably host all 75 of my guests, yet still felt warm and inviting. The finishing touches throughout the venue really added an elegant feel and made everything look polished and beautiful. The bar setup was fantastic, and our bartender went above and beyond to accommodate every single request with a smile — such a pro! A special shoutout to Elizabeth, who worked closely with me and honestly felt more like a wedding planner than just a venue coordinator. She took care of so many little details and made sure everything ran smoothly, which allowed me to actually enjoy my day without stress. One of my favorite parts was how hands-off the entire process was for me. The Venue provided several of my decorations, handled all of the set-up and tear-down, and made sure the space was absolutely flawless. The only thing I had to do was show up! If you’re looking for a beautiful, well-managed space with an incredible team behind it — look no further. I’m beyond happy I found this place and would recommend it to anyone planning an event. Thank you for making my day so special!

The reason we chose St Andrews over other venues for our wedding was Allison, hands down a fantastic wedding event coordinator. Don’t get me wrong the rest is nice. But when you have someone that will help you with the designs and colors it makes a big difference.

We booked several rooms at the Overland Park Marriott for the bridal party to get ready. It is a beautiful hotel with many gorgeous opportunities for photos. The staff was friendly and helped set up our room so when we returned from our big day, there were roses and chocolates prepared. Absolutely beautiful!

We used the Camelot II Ballroom in Lawrence as our reception venue and were extremely happy with it. The venue itself is beautiful--hardwood floors, chandeliers, adjustable lighting (to "set the mood"). Camelot was able to provide tables and chairs so we didn't have to worry about renting them. They were good about communicating via email and we were able to meet at the ballroom a few times and they were very good about explaining everything to me prior to our rental. Bridget was very helpful in all of our dealings. Since Camelot's main studio is in Overland Park, it takes a little coordinating to meet and get into the Lawrence ballroom, but we were able to work it out and had a good feel for the space prior to our wedding. Just know that you probably couldn't drop by at the last minute and get in (though you can always look in the windows!) Camelot was very affordable, especially for a venue on Mass St. They seem to be working to improve the facility--they are adding kitchen space, for example--so I'm sure it will be an even better venue in the future. It may not be widely known as a rental space now, but I can't imagine it will remain a "hidden gem" forever!

The Sheraton in Overland Park hosted our wedding on 6/29/24 for the reception. They were great to work with and made everything look even better than we thought. It was a little pricey but worth it in the end. We did have communication trouble with the event/lighting coordinator and we also did not receive our cake after the wedding. Other than those issues, we had a great time and our guests enjoyed it as well!

Kelly and her staff were helpful in putting together our specific plans on setting up all tables and chairs for our guests. She gave us many different ceremony site options. Kelly and Bri were wonderful in helping me capture all the special moments of our big day. We had a list of specific photos that we wanted and they made sure to get every photo and then some. They were friendly and treated us like family while we were there.

The Overland Park Convention Center did a truly amazing job as our wedding venue. Everything was top-notch and the services they provided for us were impeccable. Megan, our wedding manager, was the perfect partner to ensure our wishes were met in every way. She was on top of everything from start to finish so we could relax and enjoy our special day without worrying about anything. Julie, our catering manager, and the OPCC chefs made sure our hors d'oeuvres and dinner were delicious, and the kitchen crew took care of every meal detail perfectly. Many of our guests told us how impressed they were with the OPCC staff - how quickly the table servers brought and removed dishes and refilled glasses, how capable the bartenders were, and how every staff member was happy and smiling the entire evening. Our ceremony and reception rooms were perfectly set exactly to our wishes, and the gobo lighting was beautiful. The OPCC interior and grounds were perfect to capture amazing photos with our photographers. Working with the exceptional staff at OPCC will always be a treasured part of our wedding experience. Thanks to their passion for excellence and exceptional customer service, we now have a lifetime of beautiful wedding memories.
