We used Museum at Prairiefire for our school's annual Daddy Daughter Dance. The staff was incredibly helpful and hospitable and our families had a wonderful evening!

When planning our wedding, my fiancé & I imagined our reception to be a unique and fun experience for our guests that was affordable to our frugal budget and provided services that would keep our special day enjoyable and stress-free. After looking at what seemed like every venue the KC area had to offer, my dad suggested we check out the Museum at Prairiefire. When I called to set up an appointment, the staff there was eager and willing to meet with us and easily worked around my planning team's (aka my familys) schedule. I was awe struck just pulling up to the building to see the brightly colored stained glass windows that encompassed the whole building and reflected the sunlight so boldly. When I walked inside, I was even more impressed by the clean and modern-yet-historic feel of the building. While the setting was gorgeous, I had a hard time picturing it as a reception site. The staff was so prepared and personable that they easily shed light on the endless possibilities the space had that lent itself so perfectly for a wedding reception. Not only was the layout perfect and the price more than reasonable, but the venue itself was so stunning that we knew we would also be saving money on flowers and decorations! Who could compete with a giant T-Rex skeleton, stained glass, colorful uplighting, and bright backdrops?!? We had a BLAST completing DIY projects for the small amount of decorations we did include to play off of the museums prehistoric theme that made our wedding truly unique. Our guests and even we were SO impressed with how flawless everything looked when we walked in. I had no idea the site could be even more beautiful than it was without all of the tables and decorations, but it was truly magical. Honestly, everyone kept describing our night as a fairy tale and it truly was. In keeping with their description, the comparison I would make to the staff would that they were like our fairy godmothers!

Working at the Museum at PrairieFire is an absolute blast! The staff, especially Kelsey are great to work with and take care of the details so that all vendors work together for successful events. The venue itself has a character that is unmatched in the Kansas City area. We highly recommend the Museum for any type of event from Weddings to Holiday Parties or Mitzvahs to Fundraisers. Vendors you will enjoy your time working there as well!
