Planning a wedding can be difficult, especially when you are planning it from another city, but Kreative Koncepts eased all of my concerns from day 1. She was a preferred vendor of my photographer and upon meeting her, I knew my parents and I made the right choice to hire her. She hit the ground running! We hit a snafu when our original venue, Bella Elegante/Sage Event Center, closed and stole our deposit, but even with that horrible experience, she went above and beyond to make my dream day happen. She was stern when she needed to be, but had the calmest demeanor and treated my family and I as if we had known her forever. She even came with me to find my wedding dress! On the day of, she made me feel so calm in the midst of the storm (literally, because it rained that day!) Marshae is like a big sister to me now. My husband and I love her and I know that by hiring her, you will love her too! Her gift to us was straight from the heart and it was something that we know she didn't have to do, but that's the kind of business woman she is. She's the best!

When I initially found Events by Athanasia, I only intended for them to do our invitations. After seeing the fantastic job they did in helping us with our invitation design and the ideas that she had for me, I decided to hire her to do the whole event. Athanasia was an absolute dream. I am not kidding when I tell you that she was like my fairy godmother. Because I was so set on my vision that I had planned to execute, I needed to feel that whoever I worked with totally understood the details that I had in my head. Athanasia did that and much more. There are not enough compliments that I can give Athanasia, she literally made my dream wedding possible, She also did all the flowers and her designs are amazing. And lastly, she did an amazing job the day of the wedding and my guests are still talking about that night. I have since hired her for a couple of birthday parties and once again she exceeded my expectations. There is no one who does weddings and parties like her. She will always have a special place in my heart for making my dream wedding come true.

We worked with Event Shoppe Chicago, and our coordinator Jennifer Price, and other team members - Victoria and Celeste - all played a key role in keeping our wedding day organized. She communicated well with our vendors leading up to the event, which made the planning process feel a little less overwhelming. Having her as a point of contact gave us confidence that things wouldn’t fall through the cracks. On the wedding day, Jennifer managed the schedule and checked in with us often to make sure we were comfortable and on track. There were still some decisions that needed our input, but it was helpful to know someone was overseeing the flow of the day. She also stepped in to handle small issues behind the scenes so we didn’t have to stress about them in the moment. Victoria was with me immediately prior to walking down the aisle and really helped keep me calm before I walked down the stairs to meet my parents. Celeste was with us at the end of the night and really helped us close down the night well and collect all our things prior to leaving the venue. Lastly, one of our vendors really dropped the ball on something, and Jennifer and Victoria stepped in and went above and beyond. The biggest benefit of working with Jennifer and Event Shoppe was that it freed us up to be more present with our family and friends. Weddings naturally come with a lot of moving parts, but having a coordinator meant we could focus on enjoying the experience instead of worrying about logistics. If you’re deciding whether to hire a coordinator, we’d say it’s worth it for the peace of mind.
