We got married at Scribner Bend in May 2025 and it was a dream from start to finish! Scribner Bend was the only venue we visited during our wedding planning process because we felt so pleased with the beauty, charm, pricing, and process they offered. We were especially pleased by how much was included in the venue package that we didn’t have to coordinate separately, like lighting, tables, and chairs. Shaye was an absolute delight to work with and we always felt cared for. As a queer couple, it was so nice to feel welcomed and accepted by Scribner Bend and all of their preferred vendors we spoke with. May was the perfect time to be there, the white roses on the arches were in bloom which complemented the rest of our florals beautifully. Our whole day flowed so smoothly thanks to Deija, our day-of planner provided by Scribner Bend, and all of the rest of the staff. All of our guests were so complimentary of the wine, the setting, and the flow of the evening. We really could not have wished for a better venue experience. We also want to note, Paesanos was an exceptional caterer! I know some might be concerned with not having a choice of caterer but we found it to be a relief (one less vendor to coordinate) and Paesanos did a fantastic job. Rain was amazing at communication, and Diana was wonderful to work with on the day. They even packed up a couple of containers of leftovers for us to go home with. Thank you, Scribner Bend, for being an excellent venue!

We're wedding florists, and we loved working at Library Galleria. The staff is incredibly professional and the venue itself is beautiful. It was a pleasure to create floral arrangements in such a lovely setting!

The Firehouse was the final venue we toured, and we pretty much instantly fell in love. We knew from our first meeting with Brittnie that we were in great hands, and her entire team did a beautiful job for our guests from start to finish. They were extremely accommodating with dietary restrictions, children’s meals, and more. The food and overall level of service was just as exceptional as the space! We ended up with about 120 guests, which we felt was optimal for the courtyard. I would also note that Brittnie made a fantastic recommendation for a coordinator, Events by Courtney Ann. Brittnie and Courtney worked together beautifully and did not miss a single detail. We’re already looking forward to coming back to The Firehouse for anniversaries in the future! Before choosing the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel, the venue for my wedding was one of the decisions I stressed out most about. I knew the location and look of my venue would really dictate how the day went, as well as how the rest of my budget would be impacted. Luckily, after many, many venue searches throughout Northern California, I found the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel. I was already familiar with Kimpton hotels after staying at a few for other trips, so I knew that I liked their aesthetic, in addition to how comfortable their rooms were. Thus, I was really impressed with how accommodating and flexible their wedding package was (perhaps because I booked during the height of the pandemic). The lobby, ballroom, and terrace made for a great ceremony, cocktail, and reception location. Finally, being located right in the heart of downtown Sacramento meant that lodging and transportation options were abundant for our guests, who came from all over the world. I would highly recommend anyone getting married look into reserving the Kimpton for their wedding! One of the best decisions I made.

It's no secret that the grounds and setting at Vizcaya are beautiful but we were also so impressed by the overall experience. If you're looking at Vizcaya and are worried about the past reviews about coordinators dropping out, let me ease your fears! We originally booked Vizcaya in March of 2025 and we were worried about the reviews we'd seen about coordinators dropping out on the regular. Unfortunately even though each of the coordinators we worked with were great as individuals, that fear did briefly come true when our coordinator dropped out 4 months after booking with Vizcaya and another a couple months later. Thankfully!!!! Management at Vizcaya made a change in order to address the issues they'd been dealing with. They've since hired Chelsea and her team and they brought such a sense of security and professionalism to the wedding planning experience at Vizcaya. We worked with Kyrah as our onsite coordinator and she did such an amazing job. As most families do, we had a couple of awkward family dynamics that needed to be managed both in the planning and during the day of the wedding and Kyrah addressed them perfectly. Kyrah was also incredibly responsive in the months leading up to the wedding. She addressed all of our questions quickly and made it so easy to work out any kinks we ran into as we were planning. Additionally, the venue and the overall team set up an AMAZING day for us. So many of our guests have raved about the layout of the venue and how it enabled a really great flow for the event and made the dance floor feel like a dream. We opted not to do a tasting before the event and were so happy with how the food turned out on the day. The vegetarian wellington, bruschetta, and ahi tuna were all amazing! I really can't say enough nice things about how Vizcaya worked out for us. The event itself felt like a giant party but the planning felt like an intimate service, a truly perfect balance for setting up the wedding of our dreams!

If you want professionals helping you create a magical wedding day, go with the Crocker Art Museum. Sabrina and the team at the Crocker were amazing. I was going to have a HUGE wedding. My fiancé and I loved what the Crocker provided. We truly saw ourselves there. A sleek modern structure that we could play up with hints of modern and cultural elements. Their passion for our wedding made me feel like they were family. My heart will forever be with this beautiful museum. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to hold my wedding here due to COVID-19. Nonetheless, the team there worked tirelessly to try to salvage our wedding. In the end, we went with a small wedding at our home to keep everyone we care about safe. I’m hoping that once things get better I could take my wedding pictures there. Somehow, someway, I want the Museum to be a part of my memories. Sabrina, you’re amazing. Thank you for becoming someone we could rely on during a turbulent time. You were kind, caring, and knowledgeable. We truly feel like you became a friend through this all. We hope to meet up again after all this. Do yourself a favor - get married at the Crocker. Invite me also. I need to live vicariously through you.

Wedgewood came through with the all-inclusive experience in more ways than we could hope for. Maybe we got lucky with our coordinator, Katherine, or maybe this is how they treat every couple but we were blown away by how well everything went. I even found out later about little snags that came up unexpectedly that Katherine handled discreetly and smoothly. She even snuck a picture of us immediately after the ceremony and put it on our sweetheart table! We left a lot of trust in their hands and they exceeded our expectations. 10/10 for sure!!

Our wedding at this venue was absolutely incredible, and we cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, everything felt seamless and magical. The setting itself is stunning and provided the perfect backdrop for such a special day. The food was outstanding every course was flavorful, beautifully presented, and left our guests raving about how delicious everything was. From appetizers to dessert, it was clear that quality and care went into every bite. The staff deserves endless praise for their professionalism and warmth. They worked tirelessly to ensure that every detail ran smoothly, and we truly felt taken care of throughout the entire celebration. What stood out most was their attentiveness, kindness, and ability to handle everything behind the scenes so we could focus on enjoying our day. A very special thank you to Kathleen Maldonado, Director of Catering, for her dedication and hard work. Kathleen truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Her professionalism, patience, and attention to detail gave us so much peace of mind, and her kindness made the entire process feel personal and meaningful. We are forever grateful for her role in creating a day we will always cherish. This venue gave us memories that will last a lifetime, and we would recommend it wholeheartedly to any couple looking for a beautiful place, incredible staff, and an exceptional coordinator like Kathleen to bring everything together. Having postponed our wedding due to COVID, I have worked with multiple event coordinators at the Hyatt during our accidental 2.5 year engagement. Alexandra has been hands down the most helpful one! She answered my thousands of questions promptly and reached out for any information she needed from me. Hyatt was more than accommodating when we had to reschedule and their attention to detail was unmatched. The venue provides virtually everything needed in terms of linens, cutlery, catering, desserts, etc. Bridy was a great help with booking hotel rooms for our guests. I would highly recommend this beautiful venue and the lovely staff who made planning for our big day a breeze.
