Nestled in the historic Monroe Ranch in Fairfield, California, Suisun Valley Inn - Wedding Retreat is a barn and farm wedding venue. This property, full of fertile soil and a steady water supply, was purchased by James Monroe in 1860. It passed through four generations of Monroe's descendants, with the current eight-bedroom house built in 2004 and constructed in the style of George Washington's St. Vernon estate. The current owners, Gary Bacon and Ying Ni, have revitalized these premises as a serene oasis in California Wine Country, one perfect for intimate retreats.
Facilities and Capacity
The stately Suisun Valley Inn is surrounded by the 55 scenic acres of the Monroe Ranch, providing both outdoor and indoor spaces in which to hold festivities. A couple may share their special celebration with up to 250 people. They can exchange their vows on manicured lawns facing row after row of Petite Sirah and Pinot Noir grapevines. Construction of a new 7500 square foot Event Barn was completed in June 2025 and now provides a spectacular setting for elegant events in a rustic atmosphere. The Suisun Creek meanders through the grounds, complete with the occasional beaver and river otter. Additionally, wheelchair access and parking for up to 100 cars on-site make these premises more convenient and comfortable for all guests.
Services Offered
Suisun Valley Inn hosts wedding ceremonies and receptions, with spaces for intimate elopements and grand celebrations. A couple may also hold their engagement party, showers, and rehearsal dinner on-site. The helpful staff can provide accommodations for up to 16 guests in the residence, along with get-ready rooms.

Great Venue
Gary and his staff were incredibly helpful and ensured we had all needs fulfilled.
The venue is incredibly beautiful and spacious. We also took advantage of using the Inn as "home base" and prep area for tons of wedding necessities, this proved to be immeasurably helpful.
