About
Thank you for your interest in Wiseacre Estate!
We have enjoyed hosting more than 200 weddings and receptions over the past seven years... who could ask for more than to become a small part of a couple's "life story"? It has been a joy.
As of 2023, Wiseacre will no longer be hosting weddings. We thank you for your love, for so many memories made and for making our home your home.
Best regards-

Chuck Taylor is the owner and Proprietor of Wiseacre. He moved to the property in 2014, not only living fulltime in the space during an extensive renovation of the MidCentury Modern estate, but launching one of Norfolk, VA's best-reviewed Airbnb home shares. To date, he has ammassed some 450 five-star reviews.
In 2015, Wiseacre began hosting events, including baby showers, bachelorette weekends, family reunions, retirement parties, fashion shoots, music video shoots—and of course, weddings.
This is a second chapter in Chuck's career. He previously covered the entertainment industry for three decades, while working at Billboard magazine in New York City as a senior reporter, editor and columnist for 15 years. With more than 1,000 artists and executive interviews, the Grammy voter has appeared on ABC's “20/20,” “CBS Evening News,” CNN, VH1's “Behind the Music,” and “E! True Hollywood Story”; and has been quoted in the New York Times, USA Today, TV Guide, People and Entertainment Weekly.
Now a "semi-retired" writer, Chuck enjoys sharing Wiseacre Estate with wedding couples. Since 2015, the property has hosted nearly 225 ceremonies and receptions.
