Enjoy a garden wedding ceremony and reception that accommodates up to 150 guests, or stay inside the residence, absorbing the stone walls, floor and overall spectacular historic ambience. The outdoor venue is most spectacular for its waterfront white gazebo. The indoor venue accommodates up to 60 guests for smaller weddings. While the indoor area for ceremonies has a dimly-lit, archaic aesthetic, the rest of the house is open, light and full of crystal chandeliers and polished hardwood floors. Couples will feel right at home in this facility and can even rent rooms upstairs where they can relax and mingle prior to their ceremony.

History

Fort Monroe, a part of Old Point Comfort located at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, is quintessential to American history. Fort Monroe was constructed as an observation point during the War of 1812. This venue in particular was built in 1907 and housed the commanding generals of Fort Monroe. After its decommissioning in 2011, the place has become a gorgeous venue with an elegant garden and a general atmosphere that is rich with history, nostalgia and romance.
