Facilities and Capacity

Open, green manicured lawns. Panoramic views of the Chesapeake Bay. Trimmed hedges, stunning sunsets and leafy trees. These are just a few of the breathtaking details that immediately strike couples and guests during wedding events at The Commanding General’s Residence and Garden. My husband and I chose the Commanding Generals Residence and Garden for our reception site for our intimate wedding (~60 guests). This venue was perfect. Not only did we love the history behind the location, but we loved Fort Monroe for all it offered for the pictures. My guest felt the location was perfect, as it provided a smaller location where we were able to mingle with guests, as well as dance under the moon light. I highly recommend this venue!
