I knew from the moment we had our tour at the HPO that this would be our venue and I’m so glad we chose it. The venue is beautiful and the bride/groom suites sold us. We had a large wedding party and had so much space to get ready. The real gem of the venue was our coordinator, Ellie. She made the entire process so enjoyable and easy! From the first meeting to the day of she was available at all hours and helped ease my wedding stress. Everyone at the HPO was incredible and our guests are still raving about the venue almost a month later! I cannot say enough good things about the venue and the staff. I will never stop recommending the HPO!

The Historic Martin Mansion is a truly unforgettable experience. Every detail of the venue, from the rustic decor to the stunning study, is completely captivating! My wife and I had the privilege of having our wedding ceremony and reception at the mansion and we cannot recommend it enough. The team we worked with (especially Jen!) were incredibly professional, caring, and patient. They moved mountains on any request we had to make our special day truly feel like our own. The team was by our side in the planning process every step of the way, particularly as we went with a package that let the mansion manage many aspects of the wedding. The rate we received was incredibly competitive and left us feeling like we got an enormous amount of value for our money. If you're thinking about a wedding in the Norfolk area, we highly recommend The Martin Mansion. If you can, visit the venue in person - that was all it took for us to fall in love.

This venue was great to host our wedding ceremony and reception. We had 90 guests in the back garden and had a tent put up for dinner and dancing. Beautiful inside for our cocktail hour. Our out of town guests loved coming into Onancock and being able to walk to the venue. I would recommend this venue if you want a small-town feel and still have great locations for your guests to stay. Please hire Ker Place! If you have your wedding in June you'll have the pink crape myrtles in the back garden. Beautiful!

If you are looking for the best place to host your small wedding in Smithfield, you found it! I am a professional DJ and I work a few wedding events here every year and already have some lined up for next year. Before this year is over, I wanted to take the time and share with all review readers how grateful I am for the opportunity to be able to collaborate with such a great venue and the talented team that makes magic happen every time I am there. They communicate well with vendors, everything is always clean and looks amazing, and the layout options are awesome. It was a dream to work with Chrystalyn the last time I was there and looking forward to working with whoever is in her position now. We were married in October 2016 at Colonial Gardens and rented the entire B&B for the weekend. Our experience was perfect. Karen and her husband are amazing. Everything from the rooms, flowers, catering, landscaping, set-up, staffing, music, photography, bagpipes, musicians and more were gorgeous, organized and stress free. We will always cherish our intimate October Garden wedding and can’t recommend Colonial Gardens enough!

Beautiful site, plenty of space, staff is awesome & accommodating, very on top of client needs. Had a wonderful wedding there, highly recommend!

Staff went beyond the call of duty to help the day of to help in the kitchen and support the caterer. they were a life saver. staff was around at all times for questions and support. prior to the wedding Terry had great suggestions and teamwork to make our event go as smooth as possible.

I am grateful for the Simply Panache Venue, the food was amazing and incredibly presented. From the rooftop ceremony, to the cocktail hour in the patio area then across the street to the venue itself went off without a hitch! The 2 bedroom Apts you can rent above the Venue are a MUST. Perfect for getting ready and changing.

I booked The Famous Venue for my ceremony and reception and I was able to provide all you can drink as well as plated dinners for my guests without breaking my budget. Teddy even went above and beyond and made us a custom monogram for the projector screen to display behind us. The Famous Venue is a newer wedding venue but they are not new to customer service or hospitality! I couldn't imagine my day being any more perfect than they made it.
