We loved our experience with Wingate's Cake Design! Lauren made the process incredibly easy, and the finished product was not only beautiful, but delicious. From the cake tasting (which is incredibly flexible and lets you mix and match many of her cake and frosting flavors) to the design (she has a huge inventory of examples, and then helps you create your own unique vision) to the finished product (which was flawlessly executed and DELICOUS), we could not recommend her more. Everyone was raving about our cake, and we had no leftovers :) Bonus - Lauren is so kind, and she knows so many of the vendors in the Newport area, making the coordination between vendors seamless.

Wedding deserts
All of our wedding deserts from Wingates Cakes were so so delicious!!! We went with the strawberry shortcake shooters as well as the tiramisu shooters alongside of our cake and not only was the presentation of them awesome - they tasted amazing. Lauren was so easy to communicate with and nailed our cake perfectly. I also want to mention the sea salt chocolate chunky cookies we had at our rehearsal as well. They were probably the best cookies I have ever had and all of our friends and family agreed. I wish I could have them all the time!!! Overall, Wingates Cakes was 1000/10 and I would recommend them to anyone!

We felt so fortunate the minute we started communicating with Lauren at Wingate to find she was available for our daughter’s wedding at Glen Manor House. From consistent response times to the exact tasting requests and follow through to the wedding date, Lauren and her team will not disappoint. Guests raved about our dessert table and we have become ongoing customers of Wingate Cake Designs for all our holidays! Amazing dessert spread !
Lauren was so wonderful! We wanted the stature of a large wedding cake, but much preferred smaller bites for the guests with a small cutting cake for us. The display looked amazing! And everyone LOVED it. Not to mention everything is so delicious! I highly recommend Wingate’s Cakes!

Amazing!!!
We booked Wingate’s Cake Design for our Welcome Party desserts in Newport, RI. From the moment I first inquired to the day of the event, working with Lauren was a pleasure. She was incredibly responsive, professional, organized, and informative. She recommended the perfect amount of desserts for our group size, and the perfect variety. Our guests did not stop raving about the Apple Cider Donuts or the Sea Salted Chocolate Chunk Cookies! (I was so excited we had some cookies left over that I enjoyed one the morning of my wedding!). I would 100% recommend booking Wingate for your special day.

Absolutely Amazing!
Would definitely recommend using Lauren if you’re thinking about it! We decided sort of last minute we wanted to do a cake for cutting and I’m so glad we did! The flavor choices were amazing, it was so hard to chose. We ended up going with red velvet with buttercream frosting and it was absolutely delicious. Lauren made our vision come to life, and created the cake of our dreams.

Wedding planning can be so tough and stressful so don’t pick vendors that make it harder. Lauren is amazing. She is so professional so talented and passionate. You can taste it !! We went to a lot of different bakeries for our wedding cake but when we did your tasting with Lauren we felt like royalty. Everything was set up so Beautifully. We couldn’t pick a flavor so we had to do another tasting and she even set it out in a Togo so we can do it at home and really have time to think. She was so easy to work with, she put together our dessert buffet so beautifully. I kept adding things and changing and she was so kind the whole way through and accommodating. People are still talking about our cake and desserts lol it was so delicious Thank you Lauren for everything!!

The Most DELICIOUS Cake on Earth!!!
Wingate's Cake Design made our wedding day absolutely magical and delicious! My husband and I were blown away by her creativity, kindness, and professionalism from start to finish. She was incredibly accommodating, listening closely to our vision while adding her artistic touch that made our cake truly one of a kind. We chose Red Velvet with Biscoff Cookie filling and fruity and light Passionfruit options for our wedding cake—as well as a variety of macarons. Beyond her talent, Lauren was timely, responsive, and a true joy to work with. We loved her baked goods so much that we keep coming back for more whenever she has pop-ups. Her cakes are not only stunning but also absolutely scrumptious. We can't recommend Wingate's Cake Design enough—you won't find a more talented or wonderful person to work with! A++++

Lauren is absolutely lovely
We absolutely loved the whole experience of purchasing a wedding cake from Lauren! She is so kind and knowledgeable and the guests LOVED the cake. The design was beautiful and exactly how we imagined it and she even was able to make the lemon cake we chose “less yellow” on the inside so it was a bit more subtle. We had so much fun tasting cakes at the beginning as well + we would certainly recommend her to everyone. Fab experience overall
