Every Bride's DREAM Wedding Planner!
After my initial call with her, I realized that we couldn't afford not to hire Victoria. From our very first conversation, I could tell that Victoria was the missing piece of my wedding planning puzzle! My wedding was at the Greenpoint Loft in Brooklyn. NY, and while I love the space, the venue is a raw space that required us to bring in everything (tables, chairs, lighting, catering, etc). As a type-A personality, I had spreadsheets and tabs and Pinterest boards and many things to keep me organized, on track, and flowing with ideas to make our reception fun. I'd already hired vendors that I considered to be at the top of the wedding industry game and I felt like I was in a good place.
And then?
Victoria and her team swooped in and upgraded, literally... EVERYTHING! All of my ideas. All of my designs. All of my little details. My mind was blown by the fact that, no matter how much research I'd done and how much I *thought* I'd learned about wedding planning, a professional planner, like Victoria, who knows the game will always be the way to go! When Victoria listens, she really LISTENS! She created a vision board based off of our conversation and I was amazed at how she picked up on so many little parts of my personality! Victoria is a true visionary who is equal parts creative, practical, and organized. She has a bulletproof pre-wedding system that not only helps brides stay on track, but also ensures that we don't leave any part of the planner process -- even the smallest things -- out!
I forwarded her all of my contracts, connected her with all of the vendors that I hired so far, and she (1) made sure that I had everything that I needed in my contracts, (2) told me which contracts needed to be amended based off of my vision and things that were most important to me, (3) reached out to vendors on my behalf and advocated for me vision while keeping my in the loop the entire time, (4) gave me recommendations when I felt stuck, and (5) connected me with amazing vendors that I still needed. And... so much more!
There are wedding pros. And then there's Victoria. She's truly in a league of her own. She KNOWS the wedding industry and has great relationships with so many vendors and, after every scheduled call, after every email, after every text message, I felt so calm because I was SURE that my fiance and I -- and our wedding -- were in great hands! I couldn't believe how cohesive everything was and how things were just falling into place.
The icing on the cake came about a month or so before my actual wedding date. Every bride knows that the month of the wedding is the most hectic month of the planning process, and that there are a million little things that need to be done before the big day. Victoria's month-of questionnaires are GOLDEN! She gets in your head! She makes sure that she leaves no stone unturned, and let's you know that everything is taken cared of. My friends kept telling me that I was the most calm bride-to-be that they'd seen, and I know it's because I felt incredibly at-ease because of the behind-the-scenes work Victoria was doing.
On the day of my wedding, Victoria assigned her Lady-in-Waiting to be with me the entire day! From helping me to get dressed to bringing me a drink of water to calming my nerves to making sure that all my bridesmaids and my entire wedding party was where they needed to be, she was amazing! So many folks talk about the fact that the wedding day goes by so fast and that brides have so much to do on their wedding day, but that was not my experience! I was able to be present and in the moment because I trusted Victoria and her team completely! Based off of how she'd shown up for me throughout the planning process, I KNEW that I had nothing to worry about -- I just focused on my husband, my family, and having FUN with my friends! Nothing felt rushed because Victoria and her team had the timeline down pat, and she made sure that there was no downtime during the reception. Six months later and all of our guests are still saying how our wedding was one of the best weddings they went to. I KNOW this is largely in part due to the fact that I hired Victoria.
Do yourself a favor and hire Victoria. After working with her and seeing how great my wedding turned out, I have absolutely no regrets! Actually, I do. I wish I hired her A LOT sooner.
Absolutely the BEST planner
From the moment we hired her, Victoria showed us that we had selected the right planner. She helped us make our goal of having mostly Black vendors a reality by connecting us with other amazing, talented people. Nowhere was this more on display than in the two weeks leading up to our wedding. Both my fiancée and I got COVID and while our symptoms were thankfully mild we worried it wouldn’t be safe for us to have our wedding and were in total freak-out mode. After postponing our wedding due to COVID-19, us catching it right before the wedding was a huge blow. Victoria never wavered from her positive, optimistic self and even when we wanted to scream at her to stop being so darn cheerful, it helped calm our nerves…somewhat. But more than her ridiculously calm and optimistic nature she made sure things got DONE and that we’d be as safe as possible. Due to last-minute alterations, Kayla still didn’t have her wedding dress or second dress in the days leading up to the wedding. Guess who called us at midnight, the day before the wedding to say come downstairs? Yes, you guessed it. Victoria! Somehow, Kristin, one of the wonderful associates who work for Victorious Events was able to get Kayla’s wedding dress and it was lovingly delivered by Victoria. We could go on and on about how clutch the team was in those last few days before the wedding, but then this review would be 5+ pages. In short, let’s just say that COVID brain is real, and we forgot multiple items crucial to our wedding. For example, the team went above and beyond by going to our apartment the day before the wedding to pick up the marriage license we forgot. How we forgot that of all things, we still don’t know, but we’ll say the COVID brain fog got us good. If it wasn’t for Victoria being willing to run to our apartment to pick up our license, we literally wouldn’t be married right now.
Wedding planning is HARD and you need to work with someone who you want to get through those hard times with. That person is 1000% Victoria. Her constantly upbeat and positive attitude was invaluable as we navigated through a pandemic, inflation, and general wedding mishaps. If we had to do it all over again, we’d still hire Victoria. Hands down.

Worth the Wait
After becoming engaged; I tasked myself to find the perfect wedding planner. I had a top 3 list and in that list Victoria was one of them; I even commented on her IG page before I was even engaged letting her know she would one day be planning mine. So when the time came for the process of elimination let’s just say one phone call with Victoria and I was sold. Her personality is perfect for a planner, she was filled with joy, I can tell she cared, she listened. I would later find out one of the things I love most about her was her patiences. My wedding got postponed once, follow by multiple date changes and location changes, something that can drive a planner crazy or I would think would but Victoria never changed on me, she was always understanding and one thing she always said was, “what do you want Chere, its your day” this always made me feel like she cared about me as client personally and not just financially.
Fast forward to my wedding, I always knew I wanted a beach wedding but not on the sand since my husband and I were from the Caribbean. Barbados was our first choice before we had to postpone. The pandemic hit and COVID rules became a handful for anyone planning a wedding especially in the Caribbean. After a quick vacation to Mexico in 2021 and loving Cancun I called Victoria and said let’s do Cancun; without hesitation she agreed and told me all the pros of doing it there during COVID times. Victoria did an amazing job picking locations for us until we selected the perfect one. She worked on every detail of the wedding with me from picking location, budget, invitations, setting up travel agency, vendors, flights etc. I also love how realistic she is as a planner especially with the budget. This is what every bride needs, honesty.
My mom and I have a story we say, we woke up the morning of my wedding and just chilled, got ready with hair and makeup and didn’t even know how the wedding got put together. LOL. That’s because I hired the best in the game. I was at peace that day; I didn’t worry about anything and let’s just say my wedding was “worth the wait” . I was blown away by the details from welcome dinner to taking pictures, ceremony decor, cocktail hour to reception. My day was perfect because of Victoria and Mike her husband who was my DJ. My friends and family still to this day say hands down one of the best destination weddings they have ever been to. Our guest love that it was so detailed for them, easy hotel booking to transportation. The hotel was amazing and customer service A+. Some of my male cousins are planning weddings and said I set the bar so high for them they were scared to plan theirs. I have Victoria to thank for that. My vendors always raved about their experience with Victoria as a planner and how efficient she was. My makeup artist is recommending her to everyone now.LOL
My wedding was Boho sheek wedding style. Victoria did a good job of helping me pick my flower, to my floating flowers in the air at the reception. My arch was epic and to die for. My ceremony designed with the curtain back drop was epic in pictures. The details from napkins, to signature drinks during cocktail hour. Reception was facing the beach with a moon light. The tables arrangement had guest in aww, to the personalized name tags on each plate setting. The hotel even stole my seating chart mirror idea and had it in their office days after the wedding was over. My guest enjoyed the fire dancers on the beach at the end of the night, why choose fireworks when I can get real fire dancers; thanks to my wedding planner suggesting this. I also had a welcome party the night my guest all arrived that help set the tone for the wedding. The decor was spot on and the food was amazing. Thanks to Victoria for suggesting we pick buffet style giving our guest amazing food. Welcome party was an amazing touch to help welcome our guest but also a time to open the floor for long speeches. Great idea! Our guest was also able to get acquainted.
Last but not least; let me talk about Victoria team. Kristen and Alexis. Kristen was assigned to me and listen I didn’t have to worry about how will I get in my dress (this was a stress) but she zip that thing up like nothing. Kristen was there to fix me for pictures so every thing was perfect to taking my shoes off, dress changes, and even offering me water or food. My friend who all were already married raved about the girl with the knee pads at my wedding and how on it she was on top of it. I’m going to end this by saying picking Victoria and her team was the best decision ever and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I honestly do not know if anyone else would have been as patience as she was with us during or plan, postpone, reschedule , book again time. Ps: my husband did not see the need for a planner since he knows I know a lot of what I want and how I like things so he was more down for the day of coordinator. I always said you wouldn’t see Victoria worth until the day of. Let just say the night after the wedding he said to me how much she cost again LOL, he goes with her team and what she did today she deserve more. Also my mother in law who had a lot to say was speechless at the end…priceless !!!
