Banquet Hall Wedding Venues in New York City

Absolutely loved Current. It looks out at the Hudson River and we had a beautiful sunset. The staff was incredible leading up to the event: friendly, accommodating, and organized. At the event all of the servers and bartenders were friendly, proactive, and took great care of our guests. In the space, the ceiling lighting offered colorful changes to match the ambiance, with no extra lighting required. We never expected to have chosen a venue where guests raved about the food so much. They really offer a lot at cocktail hour, then guests were even more surprised to an excellent sit down dinner. Later in the night, they accommodated a special request soup that’s traditional for Colombian weddings, and their suggested tequila cart was a big hit. On top of that, this place was really well-priced for what they offer, especially given that food, tables, linens, etc are all included. Could not recommend more!

Manhatta was the best venue choice for our wedding reception - we absolutely loved it. We chose to have our cocktail hour as well as dinner and dancing all in the Whitman Ballroom / Hudson Room and it turned out perfectly. The modern elegance coupled with the surrounding city views elevated the vibe of the evening completely, and perfectly matched the black tie vision we had. We had seen photos of Manhatta online prior to touring venues, then proceeded to tour more than 10 venues to get an idea of what was out there in New York City; Manhatta was one of the last stops and it came out on top immediately as it was just as the photos advertised - even better, in fact. The service by the staff on the night of and during the tasting was incredible, the food was absolutely delicious and the specific coordinators we worked wiith prior and night-of were fanstastic - special shout out to Malysa V., Natalie E., and Gioia S. Our guests were in awe and we felt the same - we are so grateful to Manhatta for hosting one of the best nights of our lives. 10/10 recommend!

We had the PERFECT wedding at the Sunset Terrace at Chelsea Piers! Tucked away behind the Sky Rink of Chelsea Piers 61, Sunset Terrace has one of the most romantic views of the Hudson River in NYC. and proved to be an elegant setting for an unforgettable night. The food was incredible and the staff did a great job of anticipating our needs in the moment. Sherwin Johnson and Haley Podimsky in particular made us feel like we were in very capable hands throughout the entire experience and they went above and beyond to meet our expectations. When we told them something that we would like, they would work with us to make it happen. They even helped set up our chuppah before the ceremony! The all inclusive package was a dream since we didn't have to deal with any vendors. The only people we had to find ourselves was our photographer and DJ. On top of all that, the pricing was extremely competitive, which allowed us to have our dream wedding in New York CIty. We were even able to be under budget. We STILL have family members talking about how wonderful the night was nearly a year later! We originally were concerned that you had to walk past the Sky Rink to get to the venue, but once we entered the actual space it quickly faded into the background. We barely noticed it on the night, even WITH a game taking place on the ice. It sort of gave a cool, secret speakeasy vibe. We cannot recommend Sunset Terrace enough! If you are looking for a beautiful waterfront wedding in New York City, you can’t do much better than this!

We got married June 2025 and have nothing but the most wonderful things to say about Houston Hall. Get married there!!! We had 150 folks comfortably, and did the ceremony and reception all under the same roof. Carlita and her team helped make the space uniquely ours, working alongside us every step of the way, recommending set up, working through menu and a timeline for the day. All was seamless. Our hope was to transform the space into a sort of secret garden in the city and throw a big party, and it exceeded our expectations. I can’t tell you how beautiful the room was, how cozy and intimate it felt. And the food was delicious, served family style. If you’re looking for an upscale restaurant-style cozy wedding with space for a killer dance party, this is your venue. With 150 people for seated dinner and dancefloor, we still had space for an espresso bar, little couch lounge area and a photo booth. For the ceremony, we had 100 people seated and the rest stood. It was perfect, we felt the love. I remember being particularly worried about the flipping of the room/chairs at the start of the cocktail hour and I can assure you, it was easy and not at all disruptive - no more than 5 minutes and no one even noticed as they were getting drinks at the stunning huge bar and tasting passed apps and chatting. We also had musicians play just during cocktail hour which fit in the space as well! I also have to shoutout Chris and his team at Party Up Productions/Decco for the chairs, lighting, lanterns and furniture. They regularly work with Houston Hall and were a joy to work with to transform the room. Also noting we didn’t use a wedding planner, no need with Carlita and her team, which was wildly helpful with budget. I’ve shared all our vendor info below. Happy to answer any questions!! Let me start off by saying that I don’t typically leave reviews, but I needed to leave one for this amazing team and venue! We just had our wedding there this February, and WOW!!!!! I cannot say enough good things about this venue. We were looking for a venue that was affordable and willing to work with us and we came across this hidden gem. I wanted an enchanted romantic candle lit wedding and this was the perfect place for it. The chapel is connected to the tented area, which is breathtaking. They have a beautiful suite on site where my bridal party and us were able to get ready in. They had pastries, coffee, and more ready for us while we were getting ready which I thought was such a beautiful touch. Arthur and Kat were extremely responsive from start to finish. They answered any questions that we had and were so attentive to everything! As a bride, I had some anxiety leading up to the day of but their prompt responses gave me piece of mind. The day of the wedding their whole team was on it either setting everything up. It made the experience stress free and they made our vision come to life - it exceeded our expectations by far! Our family and friends couldn’t believe how calm I was the day of the wedding and I kept telling the it’s bc they LITERALLY have the best team. I honestly can’t believe anything less than a 5 star review for this place if I’m honest. All of my guests kept raving about how attentive the staff was and how it was THE BEST service they’ve ever had at a wedding. If any one is in doubt about booking them for your wedding, don’t be! This is the perfect place and has the best team to host your wedding! All in all if we had to choose again, we’d choose The Sanctuary in a heartbeat! Do yourself a favor and give them a chance. You will not be disappointed! The sanctuary team has become family to us and for that we will always be eternally grateful to them!

Gotham hall - a dramatic venue . They did not disappoint. Everything was great. The food even made it to the table hot considering there were over 200 guests.

My husband and I had our wedding at Faculty House this past weekend. Faculty House is a stunning venue, right on the Columbia University Campus. Emerald, the Assist. General Manager, was amazing to work with and so organized. She was incredibly helpful in determining the event timeline, coordinating with the all vendors, and ensuring that every step went smoothly. The other staff who helped out that day were such professionals and provided wonderful service. I highly recommend - you will not be disappointed!

John at 320 Studios could not have been more accommodating. he seemed genuinely excited for us and went out of his way to help handle deliveries and pick-ups. The space is beautiful - give yourself some time to make is unique to your event, though, since it's raw space. If you want to create a wedding that's all your vision, definitely check them out.

This is a space with a lot to appreciate. First it is a beautiful open space with all the chairs and tables I needed. Second, the location was great for acessing via train (basically every major train stops right by the venue) and a parking garage right behind the building for those who drive. lastly, the people in charge are incredible kind and accommodating. Highly recommend using this location.

First of all, my husband and I got married here this past August 24th. We had our DREAM wedding thanks to Cipriani 25. Our guests were FLOORED by the venue it was absolutely breathtaking! I wouldn’t have chosen any other venue, Cipriani is the absolute best. The staff is so incredibly professional and helpful. We have to say that Cheryl Brocco is an angel. She went above and beyond for our wedding!! Her and Briccio Pita were god-sent. They made sure our night went perfectly to plan. They truly went above and beyond for us. Cheryl is such a pleasure to work with she is extremely organized and on top of every little thing! Thank you so much to Cheryl and the Cipriani team. Thanks to you we had our dream wedding that our guests will be talking about for a lifetime!
