The ceremony was at the Gazebo by the water. The bride was a little late getting ready but the staff made it work. Cocktail hour had amazing food and all the activities we had for guests, like cornhole, were set up, and then moved to the reception area. Food was great and staff was very attentive and helpful.

We discovered Marina del Rey almost by accident. After visiting 10 venues and researching countless more, it became clear by the end of our first tour—this was the one. From that moment, Joe and Hanna guided us through six months of planning with ease, care, and creativity, turning our vision into reality on our unforgettable wedding day.

Our ceremony took place outdoors under the pergola overlooking the Long Island Sound, surrounded by about 200 people including our families, closest friends and vendor staff. Marina provides a waterfront oasis while still being in New York City, and its outdoor area features a tastefully installed retractable roof, should it be required. On our day, we had perfect weather and after the ceremony our guests ventured onto Marina's white wooden pier to enjoy the sun against the silhouette of Manhattan and the soothing sounds of the waves below. They explored the beautifully landscaped grounds on their way to cocktail hour in the Florentine Room.

During cocktail hour, our guests enjoyed the “his and hers” cocktails we had planned, sushi prepared by a chef before their eyes, and such a variety of food that many had to be reminded to leave room for the reception! Inside the immense Bellagio Room, our guests were treated to a three-course meal with plenty more to eat, drink, and enjoy. Many later raved about the seafood, Italian specialties, the “seconds” that came around, and the two varieties of cake provided by a local bakery, Cestras, that partners with Marina. The food remains the top compliment we receive still today; how much there was, and how good it was.

As a newlywed couple, we couldn’t have asked for more and continue to relive this special day in our hearts and minds. Marina del Rey also worked with us throughout the planning process to seamlessly blend nods to our Persian and Puerto Rican heritage with personalized touches, including cultural tables, menu options, and signage. Hanna was always available to meet and help us plan for the big day, and Joe always had the right solution for every problem we could think up. Our vendors had a smooth experience working with Marina and the venue has plenty of locations that will lend itself to your photo and video team doing amazing work, including golden hour on the pier, group photos on the patio, and family portraits by the lobby and fountain. And finally, our guests all easily reached the location, conveniently located with a parking lot in the Throgs Neck neighborhood of the Bronx and within sight of Long Island, Queens, Manhattan and a 15 minute drive from Westchester.

Working with Marina was such a joy. From sampling Cestras' cakes by the water as the sun set over Manhattan to finalizing décor with Gabby over a cold glass, or strolling the picturesque pier, every experience brought us joy and built anticipation for our September wedding.

On the big day, Tonia, our bridal attendant, anticipated our needs before we even realized them, ensuring every detail was seamless. She kept us fed, presentable, and ready for every special moment. Joe’s impeccable planning meant the celebration never missed a beat. Our guests were in awe—from the waterfront ceremony to the lavish cocktail hour to the elegant three-course dinner and the nonstop energy on the dance floor.

We’re still glowing from the love and magic of that day. Huge thanks to Hanna, Joe, Tonia, Gabby, and the entire Marina team for creating a celebration that exceeded our dreams. Marina del Rey wasn’t just a venue—it was the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable beginning to our forever.

We had an outstanding experience at the Marina del Rey! I cannot say enough about the beauty of the venue, the quality and variety of the food and the "gold star" standard set by the staff, especially Joseph Savino. There was a very bad storm hitting the East Coast on the day of my daughter's wedding. The Marina did everything humanly possible to limit any impact from the torrential weather. To borrow a line from The Temptations, the Marina was definitely "Sunshine on a Cloudy Day!" My ONLY REGRET is not being able to give them MORE than 5 stars! GE

Marina Del Rey was the last venue we visited after recommendations from friends. Immediately upon arrival we enjoyed the beautiful lobby and peaked at the outside ceremony area. Moments after we were met by Joe Orzo who gave us a full tour of the entire venue. We booked that same day and couldn’t have been happier.

Our Ceremony and Reception included everything we asked for and more. We were given so much help by every staff member as well as our bridal attendant Carla who worked so diligently to ensure we always had food or drinks available!

From the minute we entered Marina del Rey, my husband and I knew we were getting married there. With its waterfront venue and views of the city skyline, Marina del Rey is exceptionally beautiful - but it’s the people who work there who will make your wedding magical.

The owner, Carl Randazzo, and our maitre’d, Joe Orzo, are kind, cheerful, and confident professionals. We had a fusion Hindu-Western wedding – a multi-day event with multiple uncertainties (COVID, rainy weather), but we trusted their experience and our event was better for it. Carl even took the time to help us choose the beer for our welcome party and surprised our guests with delicious pastries as they arrived for the baraat procession. Joe guided our flower girls down the aisle and made sure we always had a drink in our hands. From the moment we booked MDR, we never had to worry. They extended endless warmth towards us and treated us like family.

Our wedding day went seamlessly, and we couldn’t be happier. All the pastas were absolutely incredible, as was the Viennese dessert spread! Our guests kept saying it was the best wedding they’ve been to, and we agree - it felt like a dream. Thank you so much to Carl, Joe, and everyone at Marina del Rey for the memories of a lifetime.

They paid attention to every detail and made me feel so much at ease on the day of my wedding. Our wedding day was perfect and I couldn’t have asked for better service. My guests are still talking about how great the food was. Joe Orzo, Tori and Karla, you guys were fenomenal and I can’t thank you enough!

Marina Del Rey by far exceeded our dream wedding. From the time we sat with Carl to the day of the wedding the customer service was stellar!! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It rained on our wedding day but you would've noticed they recreated a magical tent and the ceremony kept going. The food was DELISH, the drinks were great not watered down like other venues.
All of my guests can't stop talking about our wedding!! There was never a time when we didn't feel special during this process leading to the big day and we are grateful.
