We had the most incredible night of our lives at our wedding at the Marina del Rey. Joe Savino was absolutely incredible throughout the entire planning process and made everything so seamless and stress-free. He was extremely accommodating and took very good care of us prior to the wedding, as well as on the wedding day and the day after the wedding when we went to pick everything up. My bridal attendant and everyone else who worked the wedding day were also incredible - making sure I was always happy and taken care of. The venue is stunning, right on the water, which makes for amazing pictures, and the food is absolutely incredible (and there's so much of it!!). I would recommend this venue to anybody - it is such a perfect spot for your wedding.

The ceremony was at the Gazebo by the water. The bride was a little late getting ready but the staff made it work. Cocktail hour had amazing food and all the activities we had for guests, like cornhole, were set up, and then moved to the reception area. Food was great and staff was very attentive and helpful.

We discovered Marina del Rey almost by accident. After visiting 10 venues and researching countless more, it became clear by the end of our first tour—this was the one. From that moment, Joe and Hanna guided us through six months of planning with ease, care, and creativity, turning our vision into reality on our unforgettable wedding day.

Our ceremony took place outdoors under the pergola overlooking the Long Island Sound, surrounded by about 200 people including our families, closest friends and vendor staff. Marina provides a waterfront oasis while still being in New York City, and its outdoor area features a tastefully installed retractable roof, should it be required. On our day, we had perfect weather and after the ceremony our guests ventured onto Marina's white wooden pier to enjoy the sun against the silhouette of Manhattan and the soothing sounds of the waves below. They explored the beautifully landscaped grounds on their way to cocktail hour in the Florentine Room.

During cocktail hour, our guests enjoyed the “his and hers” cocktails we had planned, sushi prepared by a chef before their eyes, and such a variety of food that many had to be reminded to leave room for the reception! Inside the immense Bellagio Room, our guests were treated to a three-course meal with plenty more to eat, drink, and enjoy. Many later raved about the seafood, Italian specialties, the “seconds” that came around, and the two varieties of cake provided by a local bakery, Cestras, that partners with Marina. The food remains the top compliment we receive still today; how much there was, and how good it was.

As a newlywed couple, we couldn’t have asked for more and continue to relive this special day in our hearts and minds. Marina del Rey also worked with us throughout the planning process to seamlessly blend nods to our Persian and Puerto Rican heritage with personalized touches, including cultural tables, menu options, and signage. Hanna was always available to meet and help us plan for the big day, and Joe always had the right solution for every problem we could think up. Our vendors had a smooth experience working with Marina and the venue has plenty of locations that will lend itself to your photo and video team doing amazing work, including golden hour on the pier, group photos on the patio, and family portraits by the lobby and fountain. And finally, our guests all easily reached the location, conveniently located with a parking lot in the Throgs Neck neighborhood of the Bronx and within sight of Long Island, Queens, Manhattan and a 15 minute drive from Westchester.

Working with Marina was such a joy. From sampling Cestras' cakes by the water as the sun set over Manhattan to finalizing décor with Gabby over a cold glass, or strolling the picturesque pier, every experience brought us joy and built anticipation for our September wedding.

On the big day, Tonia, our bridal attendant, anticipated our needs before we even realized them, ensuring every detail was seamless. She kept us fed, presentable, and ready for every special moment. Joe’s impeccable planning meant the celebration never missed a beat. Our guests were in awe—from the waterfront ceremony to the lavish cocktail hour to the elegant three-course dinner and the nonstop energy on the dance floor.

We’re still glowing from the love and magic of that day. Huge thanks to Hanna, Joe, Tonia, Gabby, and the entire Marina team for creating a celebration that exceeded our dreams. Marina del Rey wasn’t just a venue—it was the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable beginning to our forever.

We had an outstanding experience at the Marina del Rey! I cannot say enough about the beauty of the venue, the quality and variety of the food and the "gold star" standard set by the staff, especially Joseph Savino. There was a very bad storm hitting the East Coast on the day of my daughter's wedding. The Marina did everything humanly possible to limit any impact from the torrential weather. To borrow a line from The Temptations, the Marina was definitely "Sunshine on a Cloudy Day!" My ONLY REGRET is not being able to give them MORE than 5 stars! GE

Our wedding reception at Marina Del Rey was everything we hoped for and more. The venue itself was stunning, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that felt just right for our special day. But it was the impeccable service and attention to detail from the staff that truly made our day exceptional. They were there at every turn, ensuring everything ran smoothly, which allowed us and our guests to simply soak in the joy of the evening.

And then there was the food - a highlight that our friends and family haven't stopped talking about! Every dish served was a delightful surprise, from the elegant presentation to the delicious flavors. It's not just the place or the decor that makes Marina Del Rey special; it's the people and the care they put into making every moment count. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our union.

Marina Del Rey was the last venue we visited after recommendations from friends. Immediately upon arrival we enjoyed the beautiful lobby and peaked at the outside ceremony area. Moments after we were met by Joe Orzo who gave us a full tour of the entire venue. We booked that same day and couldn’t have been happier.
Working with the venue to schedule appointments, or ask questions was easy. There were prompt responses and flexibility to come in on our time.
In the days leading up to the reception Joe takes the time to carefully explain each step to ensure a flawless day for all involved.
Our Ceremony and Reception included everything we asked for and more. We were given so much help by every staff member as well as our bridal attendant Carla who worked so diligently to ensure we always had food or drinks available!
Our guests raved about the view outside, the ambience and decor in both the ceremony and reception room but most importantly everyone LOVED the food. There were choices to satisfy everyone and everything was delicious.
We were so happy by how smooth this entire process and day went due to the dedicated and exceptional expertise of Joe Orzo and everyone at Marina Del Rey. We couldn’t have dreamed for a better venue or team for our most important day.

From the minute we entered Marina del Rey, my husband and I knew we were getting married there. With its waterfront venue and views of the city skyline, Marina del Rey is exceptionally beautiful - but it’s the people who work there who will make your wedding magical.

The owner, Carl Randazzo, and our maitre’d, Joe Orzo, are kind, cheerful, and confident professionals. We had a fusion Hindu-Western wedding – a multi-day event with multiple uncertainties (COVID, rainy weather), but we trusted their experience and our event was better for it. Carl even took the time to help us choose the beer for our welcome party and surprised our guests with delicious pastries as they arrived for the baraat procession. Joe guided our flower girls down the aisle and made sure we always had a drink in our hands. From the moment we booked MDR, we never had to worry. They extended endless warmth towards us and treated us like family.

Our wedding day went seamlessly, and we couldn’t be happier. All the pastas were absolutely incredible, as was the Viennese dessert spread! Our guests kept saying it was the best wedding they’ve been to, and we agree - it felt like a dream. Thank you so much to Carl, Joe, and everyone at Marina del Rey for the memories of a lifetime.

If you are a looking for a fantastic venue in NYC, Marina Del Rey is it!!!! I can’t say enough about the staff. Right when you first walk in, you are greeted with a smile. They paid attention to every detail and made me feel so much at ease on the day of my wedding. Our wedding day was perfect and I couldn’t have asked for better service. My guests are still talking about how great the food was. Joe Orzo, Tori and Karla, you guys were fenomenal and I can’t thank you enough!

Omg the marina del ray was the perfect place for my wedding. The entire night was perfect thanks to Joe Orzo and the bridal attendant. The food was amazing and the Venetian hour was to die for!!! All my guest said “ this is the best wedding we have ever been too”! Amazing service all around!

Marina Del Rey by far exceeded our dream wedding. From the time we sat with Carl to the day of the wedding the customer service was stellar!! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It rained on our wedding day but you would've noticed they recreated a magical tent and the ceremony kept going. The food was DELISH, the drinks were great not watered down like other venues.
All of my guests can't stop talking about our wedding!! There was never a time when we didn't feel special during this process leading to the big day and we are grateful.

There are not enough words to express how absolutely perfect and beautiful our wedding was at the Marina Del Rey. Joe Savino was exceptional throughout the night, as well as his staff. We were completely blown away by how the room was set up, and the endless amounts of food all night long - our guests are STILL raving about it. Our wedding was a dream! Marina Del Rey was perfection and made the wedding of our dreams come to life. From our amazing Maitre D (Joe Savino) to the delicious food and breathtaking views we had an amazing wedding reception and experience. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran seamlessly and exactly how we planned it. All our friends and family are still raving about our wedding reception and how perfect the food and venue were.

This venue was excellent since the moment I went inside. Joe who is one of the owners was the best and I even hired Secruity. Her name was Gina and she was great. The staff and servers were the best and on that day I truly didn’t worry about anything. I would rate the venue %100.

I booked my wedding at the Marina right after my first meeting with them. My husband and I sat down with Joe Savino from the beginning who broke down everything for us from start to finish. Joe was so accommodating in working with what we wanted for our day. Every time I called or went there leading up to the wedding everyone was so nice and friendly, everyone really makes you feel like you’re working with people you’ve known forever.
Day of my wedding exceeded all expectations thanks to Joe Savino and Joe Orzo. The attention to detail is like no other, making sure that not only my husband and I had everything we needed and were happy but also making sure that each guest was happy. The level of service and professionalism is like none other that I’ve seen at the many weddings I’ve been to and I had so many guests say to me that night and after the wedding how amazing it was & how on top of everything they were. My bridal attendant was also amazing, making sure that everything was taken care of for me from start to finish so I didn’t have to worry about anything. I didn’t stress about a single thing on my wedding day, everything was planned down to the last detail & flowed so seamlessly.
Moving on to the food. Where to start? There was so much food and it was ALL amazing. The cocktail hour was amazing and had so much to offer our guests. For the reception we did a pasta trio, everyone raved about the risotto! For the entree there were multiple choices, all of which were fantastic. To make sure my guests had the full experience my husband and I had a Viennese hour for dessert which was outdoors, right outside of our reception room. There were so many dessert options - cakes, cookies, a crepe station, ect. They really go all out when it comes to their food and it shows.
Lastly, the venue itself. The venue overlooks the water which provided such a beautiful backdrop for photos. The ceremony was outside, right over the water & everything was set up perfectly to move right into an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour. My bridal suite was right next to the reception room, making it easy to sneak away when I needed. Our reception was in the Venetian room which was set up exactly how I envisioned. Every last detail was seen to.
I would absolutely recommend the Marina Del Rey to anyone looking to book a venue for their special day. I can’t say enough just how impressed I was with my experience with them!

If you want a venue that will cater for you and your guests with a 5 star level treatment, then this is the place for you. Carl the owner was super friendly, he will spend time with me on my visits to the venue just to talk about my vision for the special day. Joe Sevinho and Denesha were the best Banquet Managers, they assisted me with all my request and my sure my event run smoothly on the day.

My wedding day (8/7/21) was so beautiful at the Marina Del Rey-Every time I think of it, it leaves me speechless because it was absolutely perfect. From day 1, Joe Savino and his team were amazing and I could not have asked for a better venue to help bring my wedding dreams to life. The Marina del Rey is stunning, but the food is phenomenal and the presentation of the cocktail hour and Viennese hour is extraordinary(-now, 3 weeks later, my wedding guests are STILL talking about about impressive it was). Everyone said my wedding at the Marina Del Rey set the bar very high and no one will ever reach that level of perfection. My bridal attendant Denise, was the most amazing sidekick to have on my wedding day. She was there for anything I could ask for and I could not imagine how I would have got through the reception without her! My parents had their wedding with Joe Savino at the Marina Del Rey 39 years ago and it was outstanding then and lived up to it's spectacular reputation today! I wish I could relive this day at this amazing venue-but it left me with memories for a lifetime!

Denasia was an amazing coordinator and our main contact at Marina del Rey. She and Joe went above and beyond on my wedding day. It's clear why Marina del Rey has stayed in the business for so long - they are so good at what they do! The proximity to the water, the indoor/outdoor options for guests and most of all, the delicious food and drinks, were all that my guests were talking about days after the wedding. I loved the venue and would definitely do a renewal of vows here in 10-15 years just to be back! You can't go wrong with Marina del Rey!

If I could give the Marina del Rey and their staff an infinite amount of stars, I would. From the moment we walked into the Marina del Rey, we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. Joe Orzo was incredible- he has a great personality (he treated us like his family!), has an endless amount of knowledge (30+ years in the business) and he truly went above and beyond for our every single want and need (AND rescheduled our wedding due to COVID without hesitation)!!! He made our wedding vision come to life, and we couldn’t be happier! Our Maitre’d, Denise was heaven sent and her attention to detail was nothing less than exceptional! Joe O , Joe S and Tori made us laugh more times than I can count and if that doesn’t say something about the staff I don’t know what does! We left feeling as though we gained family for life. We chose the venue Marina Del Rey for our wedding ceremony and reception on August 3rd, 2019. Marina Del Rey went above and beyond to exceed our expectations and making our wedding day the definition of perfection. Joe made sure all of our catering needs were beyond our wildest dreams. The scenery itself and the view made the most beautiful pictures. The staff made sure all our guests needs were met and exceeded. Marina del Rey is the best location for a wedding with its unparalleled view of the Throgs Neck and Whitestone Bridge, cocktail hour from food all over the world, desserts that could last a lifetime, entrees that are just delicious, and beyond beautiful rooms. Our wedding day was perfect and yours can be too.

My husband, John, and I at our dream wedding at the Marina del Rey on July 7th - all because of the amazing staff. We did not have to worry about one thing. Tori calmed all of my pre-wedding jitters from the moment we met her during our booking process. At our final meeting, she went over literally every second of our reception to ensure we were not missing a thing. Both Joes worked the night of our wedding and helped every guest feel special. Our bridal attendant Denise made sure my husband and I had anything we wanted - from quickly bustling my dress so I wouldn't miss any of the the fun to food and drinks. She wrapped up our dinner so we can actually enjoy it the next night. The Marina is the place to go if you want top-notch service and a venue that will go above and beyond. We were able to have fireworks and extended the night with a Viennese hour - both of which were highlights of the night. The Marina gave out to-go trays for the Viennese hour since a lot of our guests were already full from the extensive cocktail hour and delicious dinner. Many guests have said it was the best wedding they have ever been to.
My husband and I kicked off our wedding year by celebrating New Years at the Marina and now we plan on doing this every year as a tradition - especially after the service we received at our wedding.

I had my wedding at Marina del Rey on May 25, 2018 and it was absolutely perfect. You can’t get a better location or a better view - right on the calm water, great views of the bridges. Thankfully we had great weather so my guests really got to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere. Joe Savino was AMAZING to work with. I don’t even know where to begin. Right away from our first meeting, he made us feel comfortable and really listened to what we wanted so that our day would be perfect. He was very accommodating and really made sure that our wedding would feel like ours. He was always there whenever I had questions, reassured me whenever I was nervous, and ensured me everything would be perfect – and it was. The day of, he checked in with us frequently to make sure we were happy with everything. The service of the entire staff was wonderful and our guests kept commenting on how great it was and how amazing the food tasted. The only thing I wish is that it didn’t go by so fast!

This is long overdue, but I got married at Marina del Rey back in February and could not have asked for a better venue!
Joe Orzo and his staff go above and beyond any expectation you have. They're professionalism and honesty throughout the planning process really put our minds at ease for the big day. Marina Del Rey made all our wedding dreams come true! You can't beat the location, scenery and food! The staff is amazing, especially Tori! Our bridal assistant was on top of everything, she was so patient and fun! People are still talking about how delicious the food was and our wedding was almost a month ago! My husband and I had our wedding this weekend at the Marina it was absolutley PHENOMENAL !!!!!!! Joe Orzo was the best matire'd I could have asked for, its as if he was apart of my family and a guest at my wedding. He made sure everything went the way it should have . From the very first meeting we connected , and he has been such a pleasure to work with, helping to create our dream wedding which ended up being soooooo much more then we could have imagined !! My bridal attendant Tanya was amazing throughout the day and night making sure me and Mark had everything and anything we needed, and even working with Tori was a pleasure !!! The entire staff here just knows weddings , and they know them well! Not once did I have to worry the entire time at Marina about a think everything ran so smoothly. The natural beauty of the venue not only outside but inside are beyond gorgeous. The food itself and the amount of food is unbeatable starting from the cocktail hour which was unreal !!!! This was the first venue we looked at and nothing after even came close the the Marina Del Rey !!! The staff, venue, food and atmosphere was simply wonderful. Our guest were amazing at the amount of food that was served and how delicious everything was. The open bar was great too. Everything when so smooth from beginning to end. I highly recommend Marina Del Rey and the view breathe taking.

They not only treated me and my husband like absolute royalty, they treated our families and friends with the same exact superb hospitality. I got married on a rainy morning in October. I was really bummed because I really wanted my ceremony to be outside. Luckily, the rain stopped! Joe Orzo worked with me and let me choose to have the wedding outside just an hour before the ceremony started. Denise, my bridal attendant, was absolutely the best and so accommodating. We had tons of food and drinks in the bridal suites at all times. The whole day ran so smoothly, I truly did not have to worry about a thing and was able to just enjoy my day. The views outside are gorgeous and in my opinion, cannot be beat elsewhere. The food is fantastic, and the service is top notch. I would not choose any where else to have my wedding. This was the only venue I looked at and I could not be happier. I have not seen another venue that pays such close attention to detail. I had the wedding of my dreams last week at Marina Del Rey. Joe Orzo was incredible to work with, from the very first day I spoke to him on the phone. The entire staff here are extremely attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. Joe was very accommodating to our individual needs. The food is unbelievable and the views are stunning. Everyone had the best time! We even got a few "best wedding ever!"

What can we say about the Marina del Rey? Where do we begin? First and foremost, it's where my husband and I met. It's where our love story began. How many people can say they got married where they met?? Fortunately for us, we can! My husband worked there for 10 years, and although not working there anymore, is still in the wedding business. No one does it like the Marina del Rey! Right from the beginning of planning our wedding we knew we would have the reception at the Marina. Not only is their food the best of all time, their view absolutely to die for and the staff amazing, but we were able to have our wedding be a Marina family event. We customized our menu to fit our tastes and wow our guests at every turn. Joe Savino and Trish, along with the staff, made every guest feel like they were family and gave them, and US, an experience to remember. Our guests are STILL talking not only about the quantity of food but the QUALITY of it as well. Many people thought the cocktail hour was over-the-top and were full from that alone. Little did they know what was to come during the reception. Everything that was served was top of the line and the drinks were flowing all night. Our Viennese dessert hour went outside and our guests were able to enjoy their dessert by the water and enjoy their hand rolled cigars out there as well. Many of guests had never been to the Marina before our wedding and now can't stop talking about how beautiful the venue was and how great it was to be able to sit outside by the water and still see what was going on in the main dining room. Joe and Trish even surprised us by having a sparkle dance take place during our second dance together as husband and wife. All the marina employees close to us took part in it which made it even more special!
When you work in the wedding business you want to make an impression with your own wedding, and thats exactly what we did with the Marina del Rey.

I just signed my contract to have my wedding here October 2017. Joe Orzo has gone above and beyond to fit within my budget but still impress my guests which took most of the stress of wedding planning away for me. The venue is goooooorgeous and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I can't wait for my wedding!!

My wedding is not until September 3rd 2017, but I have been to the Marina Del Rey a handful of times and it is always amazing! The place is beautiful and the food is delicious! I can not wait until my wedding! They were extremely helpful in planning my wedding.

Our wedding was held at Marina Del Rey on October 10 and it was nothing short of perfect. The staff and service was impeccable. Joe Savino and his team made every one our requests come true. Our menu was amazing and people are still raving about the food! My bridal attendant Denise was incredible all night. From the beginning stages of planning the wedding to the very day, Joe was incredibly helpful and responsive and made us feel like family. I would highly recommend Marina Del Rey for anyone looking for an extraordinary event with no stress, incredible food, breathtaking views, and impeccable service. We will definitely be back!

We had the best day ever and it was all thanks to Joe Savino and the rest of the staff at Marina Del Rey! It was the BEST decision to go with this venue!! Joe and the staff went above and beyond to make sure the day was everything we dreamed it would be. They were so attentive and made sure everything moved along smoothly! Joe even went as far as finding someone that worked there to do something special that we wanted but couldn't find someone to do! Not only are the grounds AMAZINGLY beautiful, the food was delicious and everyone had the time of their lives! If you are wondering whether to go with the Marina or another vendor, pick Marina! Look no further than the Marina Del Rey! After some recommendations they were the first place my husband and I visited. They made us feel so at home with their friendliness. What the offered for the price can not be beat. I was sold after seeing it one time!
The food is unbelievable! From the cocktail hour with endless stations, to the intermesso when the guests walk in to their seats, to the pasta trio and the 7 entree choices- one thing is better than the next! The Viennese hour was a huge hit! I highly recommend adding it on to your wedding day! The desserts are endless and amazing!

The larger room where we had our reception is amazing. It is lined with windows overseeing that water and the bridges. The view can not be beat! Everyone enjoyed going outside and taking pictures.

She was there every time We needed something. The catering to all our needs. The food was excellent and our guest are still raving about our wedding. Marina del Rey was an amazing venue for our wedding! They were so professional and accommodating and cater to our every need! The food was outstanding and we as well as our guests had an amazing time!!

I had my wedding reception at Marina Del Rey on 10/24/14 and up to this day I still have guests of my wedding telling how beautiful and well organized my party turned out, and I have to admit that as much of a perfectionist that I am, my special day would not been as it was if it wasn't for the excellent prefesionals at this venue. For the most part, I dealt with Joe and he made sure that every little detail turned out to perfection. Everyone at this venue did a phenomenal job, from Joe (mgr) to the maître D', to the waiters, to the bar tender, to the valet parking attendant, everyone was so pleasant, courteous and helpful to me and all of my guests. The food was AMAZING too!! I was very pleased with their services and would highly recommend anyone hosting their wedding there. Simply the BEST place in the Bronx and comparable any Manhattan or Long Island venue.

Best wedding venue ever! They really know how to throw a party! We're a big Italian family (260 guests) and we know how to eat. My guests were raving about the amount and the quality of the food! Plus, my husband's family is from Boston so this wedding blew them out of the water! We wanted the staff, specifically Tori and Joe Orzo, to be part of our family.. that's how welcoming and accommodating they are. I want to get married all over again thanks to them.

I planned my wedding in 11months and Marina de Rey was always so helpful along the way. I always thought I was a bridezilla and they always told me that I wasn't one. On the day if my wedding my bridal attendant tony and my maître d Joe treated me like a queen. They were professional and made sure my wedding day was perfect. I didn't expect that level of service from them. They exceeded my expectations. I knew the place was beautiful but my guests were surprised. They were astonished by the great food, excellent service from the wait staff and beautiful decor. It's a lovely place and my dream wedding was absolutely flawless thanks to the entire team at marina del rey.

When we were looking for wedding venues, we knew Marina Del Rey was on our "dream wish list", we made the appointment reluctantly, thinking they would be way out of our price range (since they throw such phenomenal parties). We were pleasantly surprised when we met with Ralph. He took us through each month, day, time, until we found something that worked for our budget.

The hall is absolutely beautiful, and the pictures from our day are breathtaking! Right on the water beautiful views! The inside is gorgeous, and definitely NOT the tacky catering hall look you always see. Joe Savino was out Maitre D, he was awesome. He met with us the week before the wedding, went over every single detail of our wedding. He even made sure they purchased Chambord I requested for my signature cocktail! I am a type A, checklist making bride. I was so shocked to look down at my list after Joe met with us and see that he already answered all my questions. At that point, I knew we made the right choice, and I was stress free! Chosing MDR was the best decision we made. They are legendary in the wedding business and that is for a good reason. You literally do not have to worry about ANYTHING, they take care of everything! The food is amazing, our guests were blown away by the quality, quantity, and number of options. We had an amazing day, and we have been told over and over by our guests what an awesome experience they had at our wedding! MDR does not miss a detail, from the welcome cocktails in the lobby, down to the warm fresh zeppole being handed out of a basket during Venetian hour, to the coffee and hot doughnuts they are handing out as guests get their valet. We would absolutely recommend them!

I was extremely pleased with our choice of venue for our daughter's wedding. The staff is professional, knowledgable and accommodating. The Marina is beautiful, the food is delicious and there is such a variety and the presentation is out of this world. No one went hungry the food was plentiful and replaced promptly at the cocktail hour. There were seven choices for dinner each was cooked to perfection and my guest are still raving about the food.
Everyone worked well together and everything ran smoothly my guest were thrilled and had a fabulous time. Joe Savino helped us plan the perfect event and gave us expert advise. I did not have to worry about a thing. I love this venue and would highly recommend it for any occasion.

When it came to Venue my wife and I searched high and low for the best hall. We figured out of the whole wedding this is the most important vendor that you need to book. Guests need to eat, DJ needs to play, Photography needs to be taken, to capture your memories for a lifetime. After searching through numerous vendors my in-law's suggested looking at where they were married 30 years ago. On a Saturday, two years before our big affair in October 2014, I called Joe Orzo who opened the doors to office to sit down, discuss packages, and show off the rooms and kitchen! After meeting Joe, seeing the place, and view of the bridges we imagined our whole day and we immediately booked! Fast forward, 2 years later, Joe worked with my schedule to meet us before the wedding. We sat down with Joe to review the timeline, and received his word our guests would be taken care of if they arrived early. Well Joe stuck true to his word and made sure that our day went perfect. He kept our guests entertained as they arrived earlier then the cocktail hour, he made sure there was plenty of food, excellent wait staff, and made sure the evening flowed perfectly. What more could we ask for, we had a perfect day at a perfect venue all thanks to Joe. We are happy we booked and never regretted the decision one bit, especially coming from Monmouth County NJ. We received our video and pictures and the scenery is gorgeous. Take advantage of this place because you get great food, and great picture settings!

We could not have asked for a better wedding experience with Marina Del Rey. Joe Orzo was an amazing event manager. He was very instrumental in helping us through all the details of our day and easing any concerns. The staff that assisted on our actual wedding day were also outstanding and all played a key role in making sure our wedding flowed flawlessly.

The venue was beyond amazing and we were fortunate enough to have a beautiful day where we were able to use the gazebo and wonderful outside backdrop. Without hesitation we would recommend Marina Del Rey as a premier venue to host a wedding or special occasion.

From the moment I stepped into the Marina del Rey for my first appointment with Joe Savino, I knew that I was in good hands. He helped with the menu planning since this was my first time having a big party and didn't know the first thing to do.

When I walked into the room the evening of our party, I was blown away by the beautiful set up. Joe Savino was there the entire night moving things along and even helping out with serving and making sure everything was perfect.

The entire staff that worked our party were well trained. They were attentive to everyone's needs, constantly refilling water glasses, cleaning off the tables and just making sure everyone was happy.

I am still getting calls from family and friends saying how great the food was, how beautiful everything looked and what amazing service they received from the staff.

We had our wedding at Marina Del Rey in early October and everyone is still raving about the place. Joe Orzo was amazing and the staff was incredible. The food is top notch and the view was amazing. Our guests arrived an hour earlier and Joe and staff did an amazing job to ensure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. Absolutely, hands down, THE best wedding I have ever been to. You can look at it one of two ways, you might think I am bias because it was my own wedding OR you might be extra impressed because this review is written from the point of view of a critical bride.
Marina Del Rey is obviously an incredibly beautiful venue from the water fountain in the entrance, to the gorgeous gazebo, east river backdrop and city skyline view, but what really makes this venue so remarkable, is the food and most of all the staff.
Lets start with the food... The cocktail hour was so lavish that guests were asking if it was actually the dinner. We happily told them no, they had a choice of 6 entrees made to order, each one, excellent options in their own right.
Now the staff... Joe Orzo, our maitre'd was simply AMAZING, and THAT is an understatement. The entire night flowed seamlessly in his hands, allowing us to actually enjoy the moment and interact with our guests. Denise, was much more than a bridal attendant, taking care of all six of my bridesmaids, as well as the groom and his six groomsmen. I'm not sure of Trisha's title, but she did an incredible job, suggesting and executing last minute touches to the reception area from the cake topper to the bridal table runner.
Marina Del Rey has decades of experience putting together great weddings, and on my big night, it was more than apparent. Thank you Joe and team for making this night better than I could ever have imagined!

When selecting venues for our wedding, we only went to one vendor. The Marina Del Rey. Richie and I knew we were going to get married but were not even engaged yet when we decided on a date for our future wedding. We ran to the Marina to make sure they had our date and booked 3 months before our official engagement!!
The day of our wedding could not have went any better than it did. I had a "vision" of what i wanted the room to look like, and Joe Savino and staff made sure that happened. The room was done up amazing, people were floored when they walked into the main dining area.Everything was perfect. And the food??? Well, some of our guests thought cocktail hour was the food!! There was more food than you could imagine and EVERYTHING was amazing!!! We then had 7, yes 7 entrees to pick from along with passed lobster tails while you stared your dinner!!!! Viennese hour was also a HUGE hit, they even provided tin trays for you to take desserts home!! I can't say enough to how thankful, grateful and appreciative I am to the Marina, especially to Joe Savino, for all the hard work, professionalism and time he put into our wedding. Richie and I had our dream wedding come true because of you!!

Tori is an amazing person to have worked with. She worked with me and made me feel like my wedding was her top priority. Up until 2 days before we were working out the final details and she was amazing at handling everything and making sure everything I wanted was taken care of. All the staff at the Marina are like this. Joe Orzo made sure all my guests were taken care of and made sure we were happy the entire night. The food at the Marina cannot be beat from the cocktail hour to the dessert everything is top of the line delicious! Spectacular!!! There is nothing negative that we can say about Marina del Rey. Our maitre'd was Joe Orzo and he was so accommodating - he went above and beyond to make our big day so special and memorable. Whenever we had a question/concern, he was there to answer. He made us feel like a million bucks the day of our wedding. The service, food and staff were impeccable. The day of our wedding, Tanya, my bridal attendant and Joe Orzo were available to us 100%. He offered to open up another bridal suite for us and always wanted to make sure I was comfortable. He calmed me down when I got nervous and told me that this was OUR day and it would be an amazing one. He let us come to the venue earlier so that we can take our photos. He made us feel like family, to say the least. If you're looking for a venue, Marina del Rey is the place. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't hesitate to choose Marina del Rey.

Marina Del Rey made our special day so perfect! The staff was amazing. Our planner Tori, was super helpful and attentive in the whole process from picking out the food to the small details of when our favors would be handed out. She even rearranged her schedule so she could be present on our wedding day.

Joe Orzo was our matridee and executed all aspects of the day with organization, promptness and care. He orchestrated the event to run flawlessly. And everyone in the wedding party knew what to do thanks to him.

We had our ceremony outside on a beautiful October day, then a cocktail hour half in, half outside and then had the reception inside the Venetian room where we partied the night away. We would highly recommend MDR in Throgs Neck to anyone who wants a beautiful and memorable wedding that runs seamlessly.

The best there is! I picked this place for its location, view, food and the fact that its been around forever! I am italian and have a very very very italian family and food is super important to us. I wanted my wedding to have the best food in the wedding industry in a room with a gorgeous view. Joe Savino was amazing, the staff at the marina del rey are on point, they are attentive, quiet, helpful, and they honestly make your wedding as easy going and stress free as they can. We had the best time at our wedding! The cocktail hour, the food and the dessert were top notch, it doesnt get any better!

The Marina did a spectacular job for our wedding! Joe Orzo was our maitre d and made sure my husband and I were able to enjoy our dinner and dancing without interruptions. Everyone told us that we would be so busy talking that we wouldn't have time to sit and enjoy ourselves, but he made that happen. We had 245 guests and received phone calls raving about the food. Theres was not 1 person that complained about receiving the wrong meal, or over/undercooked food. You know its a great hall when 245 people are pleased. The room was beautiful, he helped us find our florist and band. Any questions and Joe was there to help. I would definitely have more functions here.

Highly Recommended. We got married at Marina about a month ago. When we were searching for venues we visited about 15 places and when we found Marina del Rey we stopped looking. We had an outdoor ceremony and our reception in the Venetian hall. Regardless of what room you choose they will exceed all expectations. Tori Grasso planned our entire wedding and the night of we had Tony Orzo as the Maitre D. During the planning stage they were so flexible and understanding. I was very happy every step of the way. I never had to worry. They also gave a day of attendant, she was absolutely amazing. They catered to our every need and that of the guest.

The food was absolutely delicious!!! The cocktail hour was enough to fill up the guests but of course they exceed all expectations so on top of the incredible cocktail hour they had a delicious dinner awaiting. Our guests had several entree options including Sea Bass which was popular...I am still hearing about how our wedding was the best because of the food!

Bottom line....They will exceed all expectations and you will have no worries at all on your day...you will get to dance, eat, and have a blast :)

My wedding at Marina del Rey was wonderful! The scenery has a water view featuring 2 bridges; the ceremony takes place in an outdoor pagoda,weather permitting.
The food is excellent and plentiful. There is a cocktail hour with a huge selection of food and a great dinner after that.

I had gone to other elaborate-looking places first, but I found them a little rigid to work with and I heard mixed reviews about the food in some of the places. I actually finally went to the Marina Del Rey. The people at the Marina were very willing to work with me and were flexible with the menu. It is really situated in a picturesque location with a lovely view of the 2 bridges (Whitestone and the Throggs Neck).
Everyone loved the food, and they had a beautiful setup for the cocktail hour. People still tell me what a wonderful evening it was.

This is my first time using Wedding Wire, and I just wanted to write about my recent wedding at Marina del Rey. After searching all over the tri-state area for a perfect venue, Marina del Rey stood out. The gorgeous pier and water views, the lovely outdoor gazebo, and the tremendous cocktail and reception rooms did it for us. Tori Grassi did an incredible job organizing our wedding, and Joe Orzo was the most AMAZING maitre'd -- not once did we feel alone or mismanaged. We were SPOILED ROTTEN -- the bridal suite and the bridal attendant really put our experience over the top. The PROFESSIONALISM is unparalleled here: not once did we feel taken advantage of. Extra stations were added to our cocktail hour -- which really helped our combined Indian-Jewish wedding! -- and the lobby champagne bar *knocked the socks off of our guests.* We were told over and over by our guests that this was the best wedding they had ever attended. I cannot say enough about Marina del Rey except that ALL brides need to have their weddings here if you are a New York tri-state resident! LOVE YOU, MARINA DEL REY!

Joe is incredible, fantastic, amazing,very professional and knows his stuff request him if you can:) The day of the wedding nothing went wrong they were on top of everything. The food is to die for good and the staff goes above and beyond not only for the bride but for all the guest through out the entire night. If you are getting married here you will truly have an awesome wedding. So many of my guest said it was the best wedding they ever went to. Now I wish I can be a guest at all the weddings at Marina I truly LOOOVE this venue. The white boardwalk outside is AMAZING!!!! My wedding pictures are soo beautiful. This Venue has it all great food, awesome staff and amazing scenery for pictures.

Outstanding venue!!!!!! The food and service was exceptional and beyond expectations, if thats even possible given their good reputation. We were so happy with everything and have been receiving such raving reviews from our guests!

The Marina del Rey was absolutely incredible. This hall had it all - the food, the view, the room, everything - and all for a great price. The food was some of the best I have ever had at a catering hall. Our Venetian hour exceeded anything I could have ever imagined. We had 90 feet of tables filled with pastries, fruit, cake, zeppoles, cordials, and the list can go on.

The room had incredible views of the water and bridges, and what was great was that we had access to the patio throughout the evening. At one point, some of our older guests wanted to get a break from the music and sit outside. Their waiter actually served them their coffee and desserts outside so that they could continue to enjoy. They were so pleased with this!

Additionally, three busses of our guests arrived almost an hour early because there was less traffic than expected. The Marina accommodated all of these guests upon their arrival and opened the doors to cocktail hour early. Our Maitre D - Joe Orzo was great with making the night run smoothly, and our bridal attendant Tanya was awesome.

This was the perfect place to get married!

Where do I begin?!? Marina Del Rey was PERFECT!!! We had our ceremony and reception at Maria Del Rey. Before the ceremony guests were greeted in the main foyer with champagne and drinks. Then the ceremony was held outside in the gazebo, with was absolutely breathtaking! Then there was the cocktail hour followed by the reception.
Let me start by giving you mine and my husbands thoughts on the Marina Del Rey, then I will tell you the feedback we got from our guests.
The Marina Del Rey took care of our every want, need, and desire with ease and professionalism. They said "its your day, so you just let us know what you want and we will take care of it". We each were provided with a bridal suite to get ready it. The boys were happy with their drinks of choice, and they girls were sipping on champagne while getting ready. The bridal attendant Tanya, was excellent. She pretty much anticipated my every need and took care of things right away. Tanya was AWESOME!
The reception was perfect, everything done exactly as we wanted it without a single mistake. At the end of the night everything was packed up for me and ready to go, I didn't have to worry about a thing.
Honestly, the whole team at the Marina del Rey were amazing!!

Thanks to the Marina del Rey and their amazing staff, my husband and I had our dream wedding. Everything that we could have wanted, they made possible. In fact by the end of the night I was trying to figure out how fast we could have another party there! I absolutly loved every moment and that was because of how professional and thoughful the staff was! They made sure I enjoyed my wedding, which most brides know isn't always possible. Loved Marina Del Rey! It was our last venue that we went to visit and it was perfect. Great view, great venue, great food. The guests raved about the cocktail hour and the all night open bar. I loved the service, the maitre'd and bridal attendant were amazing! They were also very flexible, I provided my headcount and seating arrangement on the Wednesday before my Friday wedding. It was amazing, now I just want to be invited as a guest to a Marina wedding so that I can fully enjoy the event! Highly recommended!

First off - the FOOD was AMAZING! they spare NO expense with FOOD - which is what you're realy paying for. But the venue itself - we had the Bellagio room - was beautiful! Joe Orzo, our event coordinator was very helpful and knowledgeable in his expertise and gave us fabulous recommendations for vendors! The staff was extremely professional and very on top of things - I am sooo happy we chose this venue for our wedding!! Now, I want to enjoy someone else's wedding here, because i keep hearing that the cocktail hour was AWESOME! :-)

Not only is Marina Del Rey BEAUTIFUL but their services is top of the line.... One of the many things that stands out was that I needed sparkles and they came through with it the day of. I love them and they even let me come in for our 1 year wedding anniverssary to take photos.

They were always easy to get in touch with! When the day came, I had people following me around asking me if I needed a drink, any special requests, etc. They were professional 110% of the time. In addition, the food was EXCELLENT, and for the value, they give SO MANY choices for our guests to choose from. The view of the bridges is amazing and it's great for pictures! Overall I give the Marina and their staff a 5/5!!

I couldn't be happier with my wedding reception. Every single person who attended it has told me that it was the nicest wedding that they had ever been to. That is thanks to the wonderful people who work at the Marina del Rey. When we were booking our wedding, we knew that we wanted to look there because we had attended weddings there and the food was excellent. When we went to book, we met with one of the maitre'ds and he was so accomodating of what we wanted. He made planning our event easy and fun. The food was outstanding, the views were priceless, and the wait staff was couteous and helpful. When it came to the reception, everything was perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything more!!!

The Marina Del Rey did a fantastic job with everything! The food was abundant and excellent! You might not think that a catering hall could produce such amazing quality food, but they sure pull out all all the stops. My guests could not get enough. The service was top notch and they were will to go above and beyond for all of our requests.
I was not your typical bride and I did not want a traditional wedding, but here I was in a very traditional place. They worked with me to put in place all of my non-traditional details and transform the space into what I was thinking - right down to my paper straws for the bar!

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!! Marina del Rey made our wedding everything we wanted and so much more. They were accomodating and the best priced by far!! Our guests loved our wedding we have heard nothing but ,"that was the best wedding we have been to" and we thank Marina for that!

I ONLY WORKED WITH JOE SEVINO AND HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND....THE FOOD WAS GREAT THE PASTRIES WERE AMAZING I HAVE NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS TO SAY ALL MY GUESTS COULDN'T STOP COMING UP TO US AND TELLING US HOW GREAT AND BEAUTIFUL THINGS WERE I TOTALLY WOULD RECOMMEND ANY BRIDE GETTING MARRIED TO HAVE THERE WEDDING THERE...THEY EVEN SURPRISED US WITH LITTLE DETAILS LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!

If you want your guests to walk away saying "That was the most incredible wedding I've ever been to" or "wow, that was just totally over the top" - then go with the Marina del Rey. My wife and I looked at a number of venues in Westchester and Manhattan, and the Marina had it all right from the start (the extensive menus, the breathtaking views, the gorgeous ballrooms, and the most competitive prices ANYWHERE) ... meeting with Tori Grassi helped us seal the deal as far as signing the contract - she treated us like GOLD from start to finish. So a few months later, we go to the tasting, and we were extremely impressed. Only problem at the tasting was that the pasta was mushy (I like it al dente) - but everything else was "to die for." Then, finally, this past Friday May 7 2010, we had the actual wedding. Let me just say, "WOW" ... after letting Tori know about our issue with the pasta at the tasting, she obviouly listened because the pasta that came out for 230 people was al dente! Just how we wanted it. The cocktail hour was right out of a movie - the raw seafood bar, the sushi station, the trattoria station, I could go on and on ... the main courses were unbelievable, and of course the Viennese hour will have your guests talking for years and years to come. So, the AMOUNT, the QUALITY, and the CONSISTENCY of the food alone speaks for itself when you consider marina del rey - of course it should, they've been in business for 38 years or something. But what struck my wife and I the most was the level of service. Incredible, beyond words. Our matre'd was Joe Savino, and let me just tell you - he treated us like family and was detail oriented down to the smallest requests my bride had. He remembered everything! And took care of us like we were his children. WOW WOW WOW is all we could say. I can't imagine why anyone would ever consider Surf Club, Villa Barone, VIP, Glen Island, Fountainhead, or any of those places. They don't compare! Not only have I been to plenty of weddings, but I know people who have been plenty of weddings .. and NO ONE has talked about a wedding the way they're buzzing about the one I just had. They said it was like a Platinum Wedding you'd see on TV (of course, our choice of vendors, flowers, etc contributed to that) but the foundation of the party is the caterer - and Marina Del Rey came through 200 percent for us. I will recommend them till the day I die.
