Month of Planner

Amanda and Carrie were a joy to work with for my wedding and honestly took allllll of the stress off of me. Everything went off without a hitch and they handled every little detail that I asked them to.
My wedding was just like i envisioned it would be and it is all thanks to Trademark working so hard to make it perfect. For any future events I will use Trademark every single time!! Can’t thank them enough for helping me out with my big day and handling the details

Abrasive and unprofessional

Our experience with Amanda and her mother, Carrie at Trademark Weddings and Events was very uncomfortable and upsetting for both myself and my husband. Everything in this review can be supported by our records. Although the relationship started out fantastic, approximately 9 months before our wedding date, my husband and I took a trip to Texas to work on wedding plans. Amanda booked us only *one* tasting during this week-long visit. As I had never done a tasting before, I didn’t know what to expect. The chef was incredibly sweet and pleasant but many of the dishes we requested were not right and nothing tasted very good or fresh so we knew right away he wasn’t the right caterer for us. Unfortunately, the chef sat at the table with us for the entire duration of the tasting and we never got alone time to discuss our thoughts with each other or our planners but they started talking number with the caterer before verifying we wanted to book him. As soon as we left the chef, we politely told our planners that we wasn’t the vendor for us and they all 3 (Amanda, Carrie, and their assistant) became visibly upset from this news. Amanda began tell her mother in front of us that she didn’t know how we would find a caterer on such short notice (again, 9 months out from wedding) and that she didn’t think we’d be able to book the string quartet we were wanting (we did end up booking them without the help of Amanda or Carrie and they were lovely!) Amanda scared us when she said we were behind schedule so that night I reached out to as many vendors as I could. The next day, Carrie called me to explain to me why the tasting didn’t go well and suggested it was because I was missing my recently deceased mother (not because the food didn’t taste good) which was incredibly offensive, inappropriate, and inaccurate. The next time we met with Amanda and Carrie, I informed them that we had reached out to some more caterers and that I was interested in one in particular, Catering with a Twist. This upset Amanda as she said I was doing her job and she informed me that CWAT was our of our price range (it wasn’t and we ended up booking them, as well, without the help of Amanda or Carrie.) I told Amanda that I wasn’t trying to do her job but I was trying to play catch up as she had scared us telling us we were behind schedule. She apologized and said her harsh reaction to the tasting may have been a result of being little “hormonal” as she was pregnant at the time. Towards the end of this meeting, Carrie suggested we end our contract effective immediately since we were reaching out to vendors ourselves. We were so uncomfortable with them we agreed and left and ended up losing our $2,000 deposit. Although this was a tremendous amount of money for us, it was absolutely the right thing and we are just so grateful our wedding went smoothly and that we never have to interact with Carrie or Amanda again.
