Topo's 403 is a historic private events venue located in Bloomington, Indiana. This two-story mansion from the 1870’s is beautifully restored, with interconnecting rooms that allow a natural flow of guests during your event. Topo's 403 provides simple elegance, ambiance, and character to make a unique space for weddings and celebrations.
Facilities and Capacity
Topo's 403 has two levels available for events. The main level accommodates up to 75 people seated and 150 for a reception, and it includes a grand entryway, beautiful central bar, four separate and interconnected dining rooms, two restrooms, access to the Walnut Street Patio, and the intimate Anniversary Room, all designed with 10-foot original windows,15-foot ceilings, exposed brick walls, crystal and glass chandeliers, cast iron fireplaces, and artwork by local artists. The private Walnut Street Patio features seating for up to 100 guests or reception space for 200, complete with bistro lighting and patio heaters. The spacious patio also includes a spit barbecue and living herb gardens, and it can be tented with heat or air conditioning. The upstairs private dining level has three interconnected dining rooms that can accommodate groups of up to 80 guests with its own large unisex bathroom and an exclusive screened balcony with exquisite views. The entire building is available to rent and can accommodate up to 250 guests inside, with the Walnut Street Patio allowing space for an additional 100 to 200 guests. If necessary, there is also additional space available for tenting and staging for larger events.

This venue’s event planning services relieve stress so you can enjoy your day and include vendor recommendations, contract negotiations, event design services, day-of event execution, and creative ideas. The commercial kitchen is available to caterers during events and comes fully stocked with high-quality equipment. Topo's 403 can provide all glassware, stemware, and linens. History
Topo’s 403 is located inside of the Topolgus Building, named by by Dr. James N. Topolgus, Sr. (locally known as “Topo Sr.”) after he purchased the building in 1947 for his medical offices, where he worked with his son who was a general surgeon. The building remained for this purpose until 1995 when “Topo Jr.” moved his office and became Topo’s 403 in 2012, which was an upscale Greek and Mediterranean restaurant. In 2018, Topo’s 403 was rebranded as a private events venue.
