The Westshore Grand offers a variety of event spaces for you to utilize on your big day. Each event space is unique and offers a different experience from the next. This hotel wedding venue boasts over 17,000 square feet of customizable event space and can accommodate events with up to 700 guests. These spaces are fully equipped with all the necessary sound and PA equipment needed for your event to include speeches, slideshows, and music. The Westshore Grand also offers lighting services to help create a certain ambiance for your event space. Additionally, there are 325 guest suites of many varieties available so you along with all your friends and family have plenty of space to stay conveniently on-site.

Highly recommend!

Lets just start with Patty and her team are responsible for making this the best day of my life! From the first meeting to the day of the wedding they were on top of every little detail. Cannot say enough how much i recommend the Westshore Grand. My family recommends it so much that we've had 2 weddings here in less than 3 years. (Mine and my sisters) We love that it is so convenient to get to and from the airport with the free shuttle service because we had over 100 out of town guests. Which they greatly accommodated in the hotel. Everyone raved about the food and service all night and even after. We were extremely please with the food quality & portion sizes. The staff is very professional yet very personable. They take the time to get to know you so they can best take care of your needs. We truly felt special! Even the vendors we worked with had great things to say! Highly recommend the Westshore Grand and we will definitely be working with Patty and her team again. Thank you for making my wedding day a dream come true!!!

Our July 2023 Wedding at the Westshore Grand

We held our wedding at the Westshore Grand in late July 2023 and hosted approximately 150 family and friends.

Matthew Moody (Catering Sales Manager) was an absolute pleasure to work with and paid great attention to detail while being highly accessible and responsive from the booking process to the wedding ceremony and reception.

We chose the Westshore Grand because it had space for the wedding ceremony, a cocktail hour that followed prior to our wedding reception in a spacious ballroom that we were able to decorate. The hotel even had awesome patios and inside areas for great photo sessions.

Matthew and the staff were responsive and always accommodating to our needs to include arranging 'get ready' rooms and provided menus for us to order additional food and beverages. Steven Albright helped to keep the guest rooming list of our family and friends organized. He even emailed us weekly updates in an Excel format, which was greatly appreciated. The front desk staff was amazing and assisted with ensuring that the wedding party received their welcome gifts we put together upon check-in.

The Westshore Grand's accommodations are great, as the on-site self parking garage was a plus and free to everyone. There is also a valet service option available.

The Westshore Grand had very nice rooms, a rooftop pool, a restaurant and separate bar, awesome food, etc. that allowed us, our family and friends to have a wonderful, memorable experience.

I don't have any recommendations other than for Matthew, Steven and the hotel staff to do for other guests that they did for us, which was provide excellent service with a caring, personal touch.

Two Words, Patty and Amazing

Thank You to Patty and her team at The Westshore Grand hotel for making my wedding amazing. My guest loved the natural lighting and positive energy received. Everyone said that this was the most organized wedding they had been to and I can't thank Patty enough. Our numbers were cut due to COVID, but I was still able to get my dream wedding and more! Ms. Patty Fernandez is so calm and caring, as I started to get that anxiousness closer to my big day she was a wave of peace and I can't thank her enough. The hotel is beautiful and is located conveniently close to the airport for out-of-town guests to come and a variety of restaurants for everyday dining and rehearsal dinner events. There are so many accommodations this venue offers; including the free shuttle, free parking in the garage, and amazing front desk and bar staff. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Patty and her team, this venue, and the location without any hesitation.

My Beautiful Wedding Day

The entire experience with The Westshore Grand was wonderful. Patricia Fernandez did an outstanding job I making me and my husband have a really magical wedding. She made all of us feel as though we were the most important people for the day. The cocktail hour was beautiful and the reception was “WOW” according to our guests. Patty really gained our trust that everything was going to be great. She met all of our expectations. The food was terrific and presented beautifully. I highly recommend The Westshore Grand for any event.

KK married in June 2019

Thank You to The Westshore Grand hotel for making our daughter’s dream wedding come true. Our wedding coordinator Ms. Patty Fernandez and the Chefs and the staff are fantastic and they made sure that everything was perfect. I could not have asked for a better team. The hotel is beautiful and is located conveniently close to the airport for out of town guests to come. Having the free shuttle helps. The parking garage is free and is very convenient for wedding guests to park. The service is amazing. All our wedding guests felt special because they were well taken care off. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose this venue and the team without any hesitation. I highly recommend this hotel. This team and the hotel deserve more than 5 stars.

We just knew this was the right venue

We had our wedding at the Westshore Grand and the place itself is just beautiful. There are so many different places to take great pictures especially in the atrium. But the other big reason we chose to have our wedding there was because of the director, Patty. I can’t say enough about her, she was easy and enjoyable to work with from beginning to end. She’s so knowledgeable, professional, always responded in a timely manner. She made the planning process a lot easier plus gave us so many good advise. Overall the food, place and staff were awesome. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Wedding Reception

Where to start? This venue was absolutely fabulous. Patricia and her team saw to every detail I requested. The staff was nothing short of amazing. We chose the courtyard and the dining option thru Shulas. The food was so good. The bartender set up on the courtyard for happy hour managed everyone of our guests and with a smile. The accommodations for all of our guest were very upscale. The beds were comfortable and the view was romantic. I will call Patricia for other events and look forward to coming there to stay again!

Amazing! Everyone at Westshore Grand that had a part in helping us create our wedding night made it nothing but magical! The team (especially Patty) was so sweet and very accommodating to our every need. From make-up in the Salon, to first look in the stunning courtyard, to an elegantly decorated ballroom, our night was a fairytale come true. They even had cake and champagne waiting for us in our hotel room at the end of the night, as if the reception wasn't special enough. I would recommend The Westshore Grand to any love birds that want delicious food, a professional staff, and a beautiful atmosphere! Or just for any party you want to have, whatever the occasion!

We booked this venue for a high school prom of over 400 teens and adults and boy, were we impressed. The level of service from Patty and her staff was bar none. Set up was quick and easy with Thomas in charge. He went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. We had a food tasting prior to the event and the night of the prom, the food was fantastic, especially the antipasto salad (I want that recipe). My administration had no complaints and the kids were extremely well behaved as befitting a formal event.
The fact that we had to do practically nothing, all the food and tables and setup was included in the price, sold me. We did add in draping the walls and ceilings, up lighting (LandLentertainment), airbrush artists (Sure Shots) in the courtyard and green screen photographer (Calvin Roe Photography), all of whom were professional, on time and as described.
Patty informed us that the ballroom will be undergoing renovation over the summer, so it's going to be even better. I would not hesitate to recommend this venue for your event.

Our daughter recently got married at the Westshore Grand, formerly the InterContinental Tampa. It was truly a magical wedding! The event coordinator, Patty Fernandez, was outstanding and made sure that every detail was done to perfection. Since our wedding followed Orthodox Jewish traditions, it was probably not the easiest to execute, but they were able to accomplish it flawlessly. The atrium where the ceremony took place was beautiful as was the ballroom for our reception. Our guests raved about the kosher food, service, and professionalism of the entire staff. The one phrase that we heard over and over was, " this was the best wedding we have ever been to". We are so happy that we chose the Westshore Grand. Our daughter's wedding was like a fairy tale!
