What truly set The Seclusion apart was the incredible responsiveness and helpfulness of the owners, Brian and Trish, throughout the entire process. They were always available to answer our questions, provide guidance, and offer solutions. Their level of communication was outstanding, which made planning so much smoother and less stressful.

The team’s professionalism and dedication didn’t just make an impression on us but on our vendors as well. Having a venue that collaborates so well with vendors is such a bonus, and it made a world of difference in how smoothly the day unfolded.

The venue itself was a showstopper. The beauty of the grounds, from the lush landscaping to the charming architecture, left us and our guests in awe. Everywhere you looked was a picture-perfect moment waiting to happen. It truly elevated the entire experience for us and everyone who attended. Trecently got married at The Seclusion and I couldn't have asked for a dreamier venue. The Seclusion was exactly what I was looking for when searching for a venue and Brian (the owner) and his wife are the sweetest people ever. If you are searching for gorgeous mountain views with an even more gorgeous venue, look no more. The Seclusion is the best of the best!

The seclusion is the venue of my dreams, and I am so happy I got to have my special day at the most beautiful place. Brian and his wife were very responsive and accepting to all aspects of our wedding. They are both the sweetest people and their story is amazing! We toured and visited a few times and they always showed us around every time. I would get married here a million times if I could. The venue is clean, beautiful and well kept. If you are thinking about getting married here, DO IT!

I found The Seclusion while scrolling through social media and immediately placed it at the top of our list of venues to visit. Brian was great from our very first visit, and I knew that The Seclusion would be the venue to beat. Brian and Trish allowed us to come for a secondary visit when my husband got back from deployment and he loved the privacy and exclusivity of the venue. We were so lucky to get a date in 2022 like we had been hoping for. The venue was as beautiful on our wedding day (despite a hurricane) as it was the first time we saw it. They were also super flexible with us coming back a few days later to take some extra portraits in the sun.

This venue is absolutely stunning and if you haven't booked a venue yet, you should book The Seclusion now before they get filled up for the next 5 years.

Words simply cannot express my love for this wedding venue. It has always been a dream to get married here and it was absolutely surreal to have that dream come true. It was everything I had ever dreamed about and so so SO much more. First, the grounds are absolutely spectacular. You simply cannot imagine a more perfectly romantic and breathtaking wedding venue. From the gorgeous mountain views to the incredibly designed and decorated Grand Hall, every inch of the property is perfect. Secondly, the staff were absolutely amazing. Everyone is incredibly kind and helpful, extremely supportive and professional on the big day and throughout every moment leading up to it. The owners Brian and Trish are truly incredible, easily two of the most amazingly thoughtful and down to Earth people on the planet. Last but not least, everyone had an amazing time. The guests raved about the space for its stunning views, romantic and quiet atmosphere for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and vast space for people to mingle and dance during the reception! I could go on about the space and the people who make this place so special, but their reputation and number of happy couples speaks volumes! If you choose The Seclusion for your big day you will not be disappointed.

We toured The Seclusion in January 2019 before its completion and fell in love with the beautiful views and Brian and Trish’s vision for the venue.
They were extremely kind and flexible as COVID pushed our wedding, and I am so glad we were finally able to have our celebration there in August 2021.

This venue is gorgeous. The views are hands-down the most stunning in Virginia and if we had to do it all over again, we would still pick The Seclusion. Everything on site is beautiful. It’s expensive, but worth it. My only two suggestions that would improve the experience are: 1. Being allowed to store wedding items at the venue before and after the event 2. Pest treatment for the gnats that are present around some areas of the property. It would also be nice to be able to stay a little later on site but understand without more storage why that’s required for cleanup. Everything else is top notch and all of our guests were completely wowed.

My husband I got married at The Seclusion on November 14, 2020 - the views, the venue, the owners, everything about this extremely special place was beyond my wildest dreams for a wedding.

I am a very plan oriented person so once my boyfriend (now husband) and I became serious I began browsing wedding venues. I saw in Lexington, Virginia there was a venue that was in the stages of being built and the layout looked incredible. The next year or so I followed along on social media on the progress of the venue - it was completed in 2019. I got engaged in July 2019 and knew The Seclusion would be the place we'd get married.

The owners of The Seclusion, Trish & Daniel, are the nicest people you will ever meet. Not only did they take facetime calls from my husband and I to explore the grounds - since we live in Brooklyn, New York - they answered every question we had and offered great advice for possible vendors to use.

Once we booked the venue for our wedding day (November 14, 2020) we scheduled our engagement pictures for November 2019 - this would be our first time visiting the venue in person. We were BLOWN AWAY once we got to the venue - it was absolutely breathtaking - the views, the details of the venue, and meeting Trish & Daniel in person were great. They allowed us to get ready in the bridal suite for engagement pictures and we were able to freely use the grounds. Walking through the venue you saw details that were so personal to Daniel & Trish, which made it very special. Everything was created with such intention and thought that you really felt the hard work and love that went into making this venue.

Getting married during a pandemic was definitely not ideal, but Trish & Daniel kept us up to date on all guidelines VA and Rockbridge County put in place as well as the measures they are taking to make their guests feel safe and happy.

Even during the pandemic Trish & Daniel continued bettering their venue. After each wedding or event they took feedback and made immediate changes - an example of this being the amazing sound system that was used for outdoor ceremonies and the flagstone walkway (aisle) - which were added bonuses we did not have when signing the contract.

Because we had large floral arrangements - The Seclusion allowed us the time needed to set these things up as well as being super inviting and receptive to all vendors we picked.

The day of the wedding all we kept hearing was 'how did you find this place?' 'This is the most amazing venue i've ever been to.' Our guests were finally able to experience the Seclusion.

The bridal suite was so incredibly beautiful and cozy for a day of getting ready. Because of all of the windows it was perfect lighting for makeup & hair artists we had hired for the day of. The groomsmen quarters were wonderful for the guys - they had a fire pit, cornhole, guitar, & tv to watch all the college football & golf (masters were postponed to our wedding day due to COVID-19) they wanted.

What was probably the best part for us, because of the pandemic, was the incredible outdoor space our guests were able to use to remain properly socially distant while still enjoying the ambiance of the wedding. The outdoor fire pits were a huge hit - we even had s'mores that added to the experience. My husband was adamant about having a cigar & bourbon bar - guests were able to stay warm by the fire, sip bourbon, and enjoy a cigar with the beautiful nighttime sounds of a mountaintop.

The Seclusion is a magical place that will not only have you in awe but also make it an unforgettable event for your guests.

We were one of the first to book with The Seclusion - before the venue was even finished... and we are so glad we trusted them! Trish and Brian and the rest of their team were amazing from day one. Their vision and execution have been phenomenal. The venue and their service was perfect for our big day.

I can’t thank Brian and Trish enough. Every guest was blown away, we were blown away, and we are so thankful to have had the opportunity to have our dream wedding at this incredible venue. I’m still swooning over our night, these views, and these incredible people. JUST WOW!
