Trecently got married at The Seclusion and I couldn't have asked for a dreamier venue. The Seclusion was exactly what I was looking for when searching for a venue and Brian (the owner) and his wife are the sweetest people ever. If you are searching for gorgeous mountain views with an even more gorgeous venue, look no more. The Seclusion is the best of the best!

The seclusion is the venue of my dreams, and I am so happy I got to have my special day at the most beautiful place. Brian and his wife were very responsive and accepting to all aspects of our wedding. They are both the sweetest people and their story is amazing! We toured and visited a few times and they always showed us around every time. I would get married here a million times if I could. The venue is clean, beautiful and well kept. If you are thinking about getting married here, DO IT!

I found The Seclusion while scrolling through social media and immediately placed it at the top of our list of venues to visit. Brian was great from our very first visit, and I knew that The Seclusion would be the venue to beat. Brian and Trish allowed us to come for a secondary visit when my husband got back from deployment and he loved the privacy and exclusivity of the venue. We were so lucky to get a date in 2022 like we had been hoping for. The venue was as beautiful on our wedding day (despite a hurricane) as it was the first time we saw it. They were also super flexible with us coming back a few days later to take some extra portraits in the sun.

This venue is absolutely stunning and if you haven't booked a venue yet, you should book The Seclusion now before they get filled up for the next 5 years.

Words simply cannot express my love for this wedding venue. It has always been a dream to get married here and it was absolutely surreal to have that dream come true. It was everything I had ever dreamed about and so so SO much more. First, the grounds are absolutely spectacular. You simply cannot imagine a more perfectly romantic and breathtaking wedding venue. From the gorgeous mountain views to the incredibly designed and decorated Grand Hall, every inch of the property is perfect. Secondly, the staff were absolutely amazing. Everyone is incredibly kind and helpful, extremely supportive and professional on the big day and throughout every moment leading up to it. The owners Brian and Trish are truly incredible, easily two of the most amazingly thoughtful and down to Earth people on the planet. Last but not least, everyone had an amazing time. The guests raved about the space for its stunning views, romantic and quiet atmosphere for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and vast space for people to mingle and dance during the reception! I could go on about the space and the people who make this place so special, but their reputation and number of happy couples speaks volumes! If you choose The Seclusion for your big day you will not be disappointed.

My fiancé and I just booked The Seclusion for our March 2020 wedding! We toured the barn in March and were absolutely blown away. We came back in April with my parents and sealed the deal. The chic barn, breathtaking views, and gracious owners made our decision easy. I mean it when I say, I don't think there is a more beautiful venue out there.

Trish has been a joy to work with! You can tell she poured her heart into the venue. Every detail has so much thought behind it (from the chandeliers, to the bar, to the mirrors, to the gorgeous bridal loft).

Not only does she care about the venue, she also cares about the couples using it! I love that she’s interested in the details of every single wedding. Trish went above and beyond when we asked for recommendations for caterers, hotels, wedding planners, florists, etc. She has made our initial wedding planning seamless and fun. We CANNOT wait for our special day and to follow the success of this new venue in the coming months!

This venue is gorgeous. The views are hands-down the most stunning in Virginia and if we had to do it all over again, we would still pick The Seclusion. Everything on site is beautiful. It’s expensive, but worth it. My only two suggestions that would improve the experience are: 1. Being allowed to store wedding items at the venue before and after the event 2. Pest treatment for the gnats that are present around some areas of the property. It would also be nice to be able to stay a little later on site but understand without more storage why that’s required for cleanup. Everything else is top notch and all of our guests were completely wowed.

My fiance and I stumbled upon The Seclusion one evening after days of online research of venues and coming up with the same results over and over (we weren't really excited about any of them prior). As soon as I saw The Seclusion, I was stunned and immediately thought, "wow this is it!" We reached out and got a response right away from co-owner, Trish. She was so helpful and communicative answering all of our initial questions. A few months later, we decided to visit the site once construction was further along (we live 3 hours away). The Seclusion is the only venue that we saw in person and we fell in love with it even more once we stepped on the grounds. The views of the mountains are all around and can't be beat. Both Trish and Brian are so hands on with the project and the space is beautifully designed. We can't wait to get married here next year!

My Daughter was married at the seclusion about 2 weeks ago. I cannot count how many phone calls I have received from our guests who were absolutely floored by the beauty of this venue! We booked this spot when it was being built. To say that we were impressed with the final result is such an understatement. The area is just beautiful and the design and presentation of the venue takes it to another level altogether. The drive up the mountain is just the first gorgeous surprise. The owners have built and decorated incredible accommodations for the groomsmen. Not a single detail has been overlooked. Everything the groomsmen would need to prepare for the day is at their fingertips. The furnishings alone; leather sofas, genuine cowhide rugs, are simply gorgeous.
As beautiful as the groomsmen's cottage is, it pales in comparison to the bridal loft. Picture an elegant off-white beautifully furnished area where no detail has been spared. There is a spa like shower, built in beauty bar for hair and makeup professionals, elegant furnishings and a breathtaking overlook into the reception venue below. We sipped mimosas and listened to beautiful music on the Bose stereo system. The loft has ample windows with a breathtaking view of the mountains. It is stunning!
The guests had the time of their lives! The inside is beautifully decorated with chandeliers, long elegant tables, leather sofas for conversation areas tucked into alcoves and a fireplace that is just stunning. The decor extends outside and has gorgeous furniture across an expansive porch with views of the mountains. There are stone fire pits and outside seating where our guests relaxed, roasted marshmallows, smoked cigars, etc. This is place is one that has to be seen to be appreciated. I can only say that no detail was overlooked in designing the space.
I met the owners on a few occasions and they were both kind and incredibly helpful in working with us to bring everything together. After working with them, it was clear they were very talented and skilled in making this venue a reality. However, their laid back manner made us feel so at ease.
My guests were so impressed by the venue that I actually introduced the owners at the reception.
This is a 5/5 star venue! We looked at over 30 venues and none can begin to compare to this one. Absolutely stunning! When looking for a wedding venue or other event, don't miss this one! The Seclusion is as good as it gets!

We had the most beautiful fall wedding at The Seclusion this past October. The venue is beyond gorgeous--the mountain views are breathtaking, and each detail of the indoor venue was luxurious and perfectly curated. The fire pits outside were a particular favorite for our guests! Trish and Brian are also very responsive--they were easy to work with from our very first conversation through the day of. They made multiple efforts above and beyond the expected to make sure our day was beautiful, comfortable, and ran smoothly. Best of all, it's so clear they are just good people, and they truly delight in the love and joy they see at each wedding. Multiple people have since told me that this was the most beautiful wedding they've ever been to--what more could a bride ask for?!

My husband I got married at The Seclusion on November 14, 2020 - the views, the venue, the owners, everything about this extremely special place was beyond my wildest dreams for a wedding.

I am a very plan oriented person so once my boyfriend (now husband) and I became serious I began browsing wedding venues. I saw in Lexington, Virginia there was a venue that was in the stages of being built and the layout looked incredible. The next year or so I followed along on social media on the progress of the venue - it was completed in 2019. I got engaged in July 2019 and knew The Seclusion would be the place we'd get married.

The owners of The Seclusion, Trish & Daniel, are the nicest people you will ever meet. Not only did they take facetime calls from my husband and I to explore the grounds - since we live in Brooklyn, New York - they answered every question we had and offered great advice for possible vendors to use.

Once we booked the venue for our wedding day (November 14, 2020) we scheduled our engagement pictures for November 2019 - this would be our first time visiting the venue in person. We were BLOWN AWAY once we got to the venue - it was absolutely breathtaking - the views, the details of the venue, and meeting Trish & Daniel in person were great. They allowed us to get ready in the bridal suite for engagement pictures and we were able to freely use the grounds. Walking through the venue you saw details that were so personal to Daniel & Trish, which made it very special. Everything was created with such intention and thought that you really felt the hard work and love that went into making this venue.

Getting married during a pandemic was definitely not ideal, but Trish & Daniel kept us up to date on all guidelines VA and Rockbridge County put in place as well as the measures they are taking to make their guests feel safe and happy.

Even during the pandemic Trish & Daniel continued bettering their venue. After each wedding or event they took feedback and made immediate changes - an example of this being the amazing sound system that was used for outdoor ceremonies and the flagstone walkway (aisle) - which were added bonuses we did not have when signing the contract.

Because we had large floral arrangements - The Seclusion allowed us the time needed to set these things up as well as being super inviting and receptive to all vendors we picked.

The day of the wedding all we kept hearing was 'how did you find this place?' 'This is the most amazing venue i've ever been to.' Our guests were finally able to experience the Seclusion.

The bridal suite was so incredibly beautiful and cozy for a day of getting ready. Because of all of the windows it was perfect lighting for makeup & hair artists we had hired for the day of. The groomsmen quarters were wonderful for the guys - they had a fire pit, cornhole, guitar, & tv to watch all the college football & golf (masters were postponed to our wedding day due to COVID-19) they wanted.

What was probably the best part for us, because of the pandemic, was the incredible outdoor space our guests were able to use to remain properly socially distant while still enjoying the ambiance of the wedding. The outdoor fire pits were a huge hit - we even had s'mores that added to the experience. My husband was adamant about having a cigar & bourbon bar - guests were able to stay warm by the fire, sip bourbon, and enjoy a cigar with the beautiful nighttime sounds of a mountaintop.

The Seclusion is a magical place that will not only have you in awe but also make it an unforgettable event for your guests.

We are getting married here this upcoming October and we couldn't be more excited!!! When we visited the venue it LITERALLY took our breath away (and gave us chills lol). We were originally drawn to the stunning blue ridge view, and upon visiting realized that the banquet hall/bridal suite/entire property is just as stunning!! This venue is the next Pippin Hill. On top of that Brian and Trish have been so kind and responsive thus far and unlike so many other venues, they allow you to choose your own catering, alcohol, etc. making it an overall stress free experience. We couldn't be more excited to get married at the Seclusion!

I can’t thank Brian and Trish enough. Every guest was blown away, we were blown away, and we are so thankful to have had the opportunity to have our dream wedding at this incredible venue. I’m still swooning over our night, these views, and these incredible people. JUST WOW!

We were one of the first to book with The Seclusion - before the venue was even finished... and we are so glad we trusted them! Trish and Brian and the rest of their team were amazing from day one. Their vision and execution have been phenomenal. The venue and their service was perfect for our big day.

My fiancé and I will be getting married here in June of 2020 and we are so excited to get married at this beautiful venue! Trish and Brian have been fantastic to work with and have kept us updated on every detail as the venue reaches completion. We booked The Seclusion last year, before construction began, and it has already far exceeded all of our expectations. The barn is stunning and the view is breathtaking -- we cannot wait to have our special day here!

I can not say enough great things about the owners of this venue. My fiance and I flew in from Tx to meet with them and take a look at this venue along with a couple others. After we saw this one first and spoke with Trish and Brian, we were set and the other locations did not compare. The amount of care they have put into their venue shows and I can not wait for our day in 2020!

We toured The Seclusion in January 2019 before its completion and fell in love with the beautiful views and Brian and Trish’s vision for the venue.
They were extremely kind and flexible as COVID pushed our wedding, and I am so glad we were finally able to have our celebration there in August 2021.

My fiance and I toured (and booked!) this venue for our April 2020 wedding. Trish and Brian have put a lot of thought, detail, and love into building such an incredible venue space! They are great to work with and value the opinion of their future clients. Once construction is complete, it will be stunning, especially with the best view of the mountains surrounding the venue. We can't wait to get married at The Seclusion!

On November 2nd, 2019 The Seclusion was the most beautiful place on earth!!!
Our daughter was married at this absolutely perfect venue. The owners, Trish and Brian, were so hospitable, so professional, and they paid attention to every detail. They have the biggest hearts and it shows in the amount of love they’ve poured into The Seclusion. The setting could not be more beautiful. Mountains and more mountains in every direction! Even Mother Nature held onto her leaves for our fall wedding. The colors were glorious even in November.

We have booked this venue for our wedding this fall. Brian and Trish are wonderful and let us tour on a cold Sunday. We fell in love with The Seclusion and their passion to deliver our perfect day!

My fiancé and I went to tour this new venue last weekend and Trish and Brian have been nothing but incredible! Trish is very prompt with her responses and answer all of my endless questions. The space itself is stunning! It is almost complete, and you can see the love and care they have put into every single inch of the space. Trish will also graciously provide you with any local vendors and rentals that you will need, as she seems to make connections with everyone she has met!!

My husband and I got married at The Seclusion and we truly do not know where to begin in writing this review. This venue is a DREAM. I cannot say enough positive things about the venue and its owners. The attention to detail was incredible. Everywhere you looked you were blown away, whether it be the reception hall, the ceremony site, the bridal loft, grooms quarters.....everything was BEAUTIFUL. The venue is so beautiful that we didn't have to spend money on decorations, it's already perfect. I truly wish every couple could get married here.

Trish and Brian are also the most humble and caring owners. When we first saw the venue it was under construction. Throughout the construction process they kept us in the loop as to what work was being done and kept our minds at ease that the venue would be perfect by the time our wedding day arrived, and it most certainly was. I also have to add that they are beyond generous. We were on a tight budget and to save money we were going to use disposable plates. The owners ended up buying plates that we were able to use!! This action simply blew us away.
You will not regret having your wedding here and it is worth every penny!

This venue is an absolute DREAM!!!! The owners are so kind and have put so much thought into making it into the most romantic and charming spot for a wedding! As a photographer, I can't think of a better place in Virginia to get married! It has it all!

This venue is absolutely incredible. We first visited almost a year before our wedding when the venue was still being built. At the time, it wasn't much more than a structure, but Trish and Brian (the owners) walked us through where everything would be and how it would look. Everything turned out exactly as they explained. The venue is everything that we had hoped it would be and more. I cannot tell you how many people told us how amazing they thought the venue was and how many people went on describing all of their favorite details. Aside from the beauty of the venue, not enough can be said about the breathtaking view of House Mountain. The views make for an incredible backdrop if you decide to have your ceremony at the venue (highly recommended!). On top of all of that, we cannot say enough about how incredible Trish and Brian are. They are fun, thoughtful, and incredible to work with. They helped make the entire process painless from start to finish. We cannot recommend the Seclusion enough. Truly a perfect place to be married.
